BrotherMFC-J485DW Wireless All-In-One Color Printer w/ Print, Copy, Scan, Fax

This is my first Brother product purchase. I selected Brother after reviewing comparative ratings from independent agencies. The printer was easy to set up ( having WiFi already installed in your home helps), wireless communication between it and our computers is seamless. The Energy Saver feature is an added benefit, it "sleeps" until woken up by the print/scan/fax command. Extremely happy with the quality, performance and energy saving features of this product.

Last one i had lasted almost a decade! And i use it at my tattoo shop, many prints everyday! And you can find the replacement ink pretty cheap.

Like most reviews, this was difficult to get started up. I’m not tech dumb, and I became very frustrated with the setup process. Other than that I’m happy so far.Update: I'm trying figure out the issue, but it won't stay connected to the wifi. I have to manually reconnect it every time I want to print.

I have spent 3 hours trying to get this damn printer connected to my computer, including multiple attempts with confusing directions from the software program they give you to set it up. I just got off the phone with Brother support services. After spending 10 minutes on the phone with the first person, she transferred me to another person who walked me through several steps and concluded that because I am using a 5G network, the printer will not connect, as it cannot connect to a 5G network. I now have to call my cable company again to try to switch my network to a lesser network in order to accommodate this damn printer’s deficiency.Why does it not say it’s unable to connect to a 5G network in the Amazon listing and why for the love of God does it not say that clearly in the set up instructions?! It would’ve saved me hours had either of these been done. Unbelievable.It’s still not done, by the way.

Kudos to Brother!This machine is the best. Great quality, user-friendly, simple, and intuitive.Easiest network and driver set up ever.The copies come out perfect.I am NEVER buying anything but a Brother moving forward. Adios to HP, Epson, and Canon who have all burned me at least once over the years.

I do not use it often but it has worked flawlessly since it arrived. The hidden paper storage works well for us. I like the auto feed for scanning or copying.

I've had this all in one for almost a year. Brother International MFC-J485DW Color Inkjet AIO It's easily the best printer I've owned. I don't print very much. I scan a lot. The automatic sheet feeder works great. OCR works great. I'm connected over wifi, which works great. When it needs to be replaced, I'll be back to Brother.

It is really a little early to say for sure, though it was easy to set up, cartridges are easy to replace and scanning is straight forward. It is very very slow though, so keep that in mind if you need things quickly.
