A low, lightweight, and fast drying trail shoe with aggressive tread for training in muddy and wet conditions. Salomon was born in 1947 in the heart of the French Alps and the birthplace of modern alpinism. Driven by a passion for skiing and design innovation, Francois Salomon and his son George designed and perfected much of the first modern ski equipment. During the following 60 years, Salomon's commitment to innovative design and passion for mountain sports created a vast range of revolutionary new concepts in boots, skis and apparel and brought innovative solutions to footwear, apparel and equipment for hiking, adventure racing, mountaineering and trail running. Through performance-driven design, Salomon enhances mountain sports by converting new ideas into action and expanding the limits of possibility.

Another win for Salomon sneakers
This is the 3rd style of Salomon sneakers I've tried. I also own the XR missions and the Speedcross 3. I bought these to replace my missions (which I LOVED). They are a great, comfy shoe right out the box- I opened them and worked a full day in them no consequences. The trail support traction on the bottom is the same as the Speedcross series (something my missions lacked) and is extremely helpful in all terrain, sidewalk-trail. The toe box is not as large as the mission, which aesthetically looks more feminine - so says the better half. There is still, however, plenty of room in the toe box and there is no unnecessary pressure or toes falling asleep.I am a dog walker and during my average day at work I will walk 7-10miles. I spend a lot of time on my feet and actively moving through different terrains. These shoes stick you to the ground, even if the ground is wet. Typically the tread on a pair of Salomon's can last me four months. I also suffer from a number of joint problems and past injuries (15 years as a ballerina was not kind to the body). The standard insoles that come in the Salomon are great! They Have a good hard arch, and the overall construction of the show is tough which prevents my in-stepping. Before Salomons my shoes would all be worn the same way. I suffer less from knee pain and my hips lock up less- I tried a pair of $80 nikes a couple days and by day three my hips were stiff, I was wearing my knee brace and I was popping ibuprofens to bring down the swelling!I will say though with the trail feature of these shoes they are a bit heavier than the Missions. Still very breathable and the as always the design is fun and colorful. If you don't plan on doing any cross terrain activity and are looking for a great running shoe or work a job where you're on your feet all day and just need excellent support- I would recommend the XR missions. More lightweight and easier to carry around, they are still technically a "trail running shoe" but they don't have the intense cleat-like grips like the fellraiser.I recommend Salomon shoes to all my fellow dog walkers currently and have bought pairs of Salomon sneakers for my mom (who has 1 arthritic knee and one replaced knee), boyfriend (who had cracked knee cap in a bicycle accident) and will recommend them to anyone looking for a solid, we'll made shoe. Its just about finding your right pair.Fellraiser::Pro:Great grip for all terrainSmaller, sleeker toe boxSupportCon:On the heavier sideLaces are very longThe tongue doesn't stay in place and pinches

My Go-To Hiking Shoes in Wet/Damp Weather
I trail hike with my dogs daily. I normally wear New Balance Women's W1340 Optimum Control Running Shoe,Purple/Silver,7.5 B US which I love. But during the damper months, I always have a major problem with damp dirt clumping to the bottom of my shoes. I have a lot of chronic pain and this uneven clumping makes my steps hobbly and unstable. I've spent years searching for a solution.I also have hiking boots but they're heavy and I find them a little awkward, not to mention they still have the clumping issue. I was intrigued when I read about these Salomons and how they have these cleat-like treads on the outsole that protrude out, instead of the indented treads that most shoes have.I bought them and they look great. Very stylish and attractive. The bad news is that damp dirt still clumps to them. I realized that almost immediately when I first wore them and expected that these would be yet another pair of shoes that I would end up not wearing. But I was wrong. I've been wearing these shoes every day, on every hike, since I got them. Because while they do still clump, they don't clump as badly as my other shoes and it's because of those raised cleats. Dirt can stick to the bottom of the shoes but the raised outsoles allows more dirt to cling before it really starts to affect my stride. Also, the dirt clumps more evenly so it doesn't feel like I'm wobbling as much as it normally does with my other shoes. And of course, as everyone else has mentioned, these shoes are fantastic in muddy conditions. I hiked a very very muddy trail the other day and knew I wouldn't run into anybody else because no other sane person would try it. But I felt sure-footed for the most part. A welcome change to how precarious I often feel in my other shoes in the slightest mud. These are my go-to hiking shoes in wet weather now. I still prefer my New Balance for dry weather, even terrain, or pavement as the Salomons don't provide enough as much arch support, cushioning, or help with pronation. But in wet/damp weather conditions, the Salomons are definitely more comfortable. The insoles that come with the shoes are very nice and cushiony. However, since the shoes don't provide the arch support I need, I had to replace them with some Superfeet. I tried to stack the original insoles on top of the Superfeet, but the shoe doesn't have enough height so my feet felt smushed in.I like the laces on the shoes as well since they don't need to be tied, but I feel like they're going to tear over time with the constant pulling through the nubby thing.Washing dirt off the shoes is very easy. I just hose them down. They seem to dry much more quickly than my regular shoes. They are not waterproof but I wear waterproof socks so I'm not bothered by wetness.Overall, still not the perfect shoe for original purpose of dealing with clumpy dirt but the best I've found so far.

Like walking on a cloud.
I was super skeptical ordering these shoes as I've never tried them on in person, but I am so happy I jumped on them! I ordered a half size down based on the other reviews (normally a size 6, ordered 5.5) and they fit great! I know if I would have ordered a 6 they would have been too big. BUT if you plan to wear thicker socks with them you would be fine ordering your normal size I think. The insoles are awesome!! They have just enough arch support and are very nice to walk on. The soles of the shoes are very grippy which will make nice for running in trails and taking them hiking! Lastly, I love the "no lace" or quick lace system the have! As someone who constantly is tripping on shoe laces and having to re tie them, this is a god send. There is a flap pocket on the tongue of the shoes to tuck the ends into.. Its just awesome. If I had one complaint it would be purely on looks alone. I don't care for the colors they come in, and the styling is kinda dorky. But I'm going to be wearing these outside they are going to be getting dirty, so who cares? If you're questioning getting these, i say get them!

De lo mejor
De las mejores deportivas que tuve, me fue imposible encontrar otras, y menos a buen precio. Ideal para terrenos blandos con mucho barro. Secan rápido y son ligeras. Muy buenas en desniveles, geniales para orientación

Wonderful shoes!
I LOVE these shoes. My feet are wider than B width and I have bunions but these are great. Plus the fact that they were a great deal cheaper than anywhere else I saw them. They will be perfect for my long hike over mountains this spring.
