Total waste of money
Words cannot describe the disdain I feel towards this product. It is a total waste of money and not deserving of the praise I have seen in other reviews of this product. The construction is so bad and quality control in the production is non-existent based on my experience. I have gone through two of these units. The first one I had, the bottom panel was so deformed and you could tell that the part was not molded correctly. The fact that no one noticed it and replaced it during manufacturing is inexcusable. I got a replacement but because of other issues with the tank, I switched to a different unit. I got the parts I needed so I could use this since the other unit wasn't really doing the job. When I went to install this unit, every time I tried putting it in, the top cover would come off at the slightest tough. After several attempts to install it, each time with the cover coming off, I gave up. I looked at the cover and found that the tabs on that part were also deformed. The only place this unit belongs is in the trash can, which is where it has ended. It has been several months since I purchased it so it's too late to return.

Unreliable and difficult to work with.
Stopped working randomly after a year. Had trouble after 10 months when I came home and found that the entire thing snapped off of the magnet that was holding it in place. That horrible magnet that was impossible to work with in the first place. So I had to jimmy rig something to hold it in place another way. Then it just stopped working after a year. Discovered coral dying and noticed that it was silent. Haven't been able to get it working since.Perhaps I just got a dud or something weird happened. It fit in my 29g biocube, the kind with the closed lid. I had to get a different cup but it worked fine for awhile.

It fits in my tank and works (after a bunch of futzing)
My first reaction when I received this is that it was a POS. The bottom and top clip on pieces and were loose. It took a bunch of monkeying around with the internals, the tubing and the pump to fit the pieces together. When I put it in the tank to top piece would pop off. After multiple tries I finally got it assembled and placed in my Biocube 29 HQI (after having to mod the tank with a saw).Starting it up was a challenge. It needs a fairly consistent water level and it took awhile to sort out what was the right amount of air. And then it took a day or so before it actually starting producing any skim output. Now that it's running it produces much more than the skimmer that came with the Biocube. It seems to be working consistently. I will keep it, but it I'm not 100% sure that my initial impression was far off the mark.[Update 6/28/14]I've been using the skimmer for about 3 weeks now. After installing the youtube mod, it has been much easier to maintain and is more productive. I also moded my tank so that it looks better with the skimmer installed. I'm feeling better about the skimmer, but that's a lot of work for something that's sold as turnkey.I still have mixed feelings about the skimmer. But it is working, it is skimming and it fits my tank.[Update 7/30/2014]My corals are doing visibly much better in the last month or so. The grow on my Duncan has been amazing (it's doubled the number of heads in a really short time). The only major change was adding this skimmer. So, I have to say this was a good purchase. It is definitely much better than the skimmer that was included with my tank. It appears to have made a significant difference in my coral growth.

Product Only suitable in Country where the Power Source is 110V.
Not suitable to be used in Singapore, Power Supply Source is difference (110v instead of 240v) once plug-in the unit burnt.

cheap materials, the only thing that will fit Solana tanks
This took a LOT of messing around with before the skimmer started working. The covers on the skimmer are badly made. If you have to mess with this too much, be careful - it might break.the worst thing about this experience was the packaging. The box was huge, dented, busted open with popcorn falling out of it. Not a good packaging job. The interior box was dented as well, and the shipping box was taped badly.-CW

Good skimmer but noisy
I have the Tunze on my 28g nanocube and it skims well but is very noisy (vibration) wise I had to remove the magnet with a Hacksaw and jam the Tunze in the center chamber of my nanocube.i have the tunze on a 8hr timer to go on and off so my fish don't go insane from noise. I'll go a diffrent route next time like bh-100 by reef octopus. I gave it 3 stars because of the skimming abilty

Really did the trick
I bought this for my son and he loves it. There was some adjusting that needed to be done the first few days, but after that it worked like a charm.
