This definitely got the job done for the Queen of Hearts. I did add a card collar and extra tulle. I received many compliments on this costume!

First and foremost, let's remember that this is a one-size-fits-most Halloween costume. It will be flattering for some, but not so much for others. Now for my review:- Yes, this costume has glitter. As we all should know, glitter is the herpes of the arts and crafts world. Yes, the glitter is subject to falling off. Since I've tried mine on, there has been glitter in my house. I don't mind because I figured there would be glitter in my house. It's okay. The costume sparkles!- Yes, it's a bit itchy. But, again, it's a costume. This dress obviously isn't meant for everyday wear. Looking fabulous for a couple to a few nights in October is worth it.- No, the corset is not a real corset. Again, this is a costume. A good corset costs about as much as this costume does. The faux corset that comes with this costume is for looks. Do not expect an actual corset.- No, the fit isn't very flattering for me. Again (say it with me) this is a one-size-fits-most costume. I didn't expect a perfect fit. I can work my own magic to make it fit/look better, but the fact that it doesn't look on me like it does on the model (who had some magic worked on her to make it look that way, I'm sure) doesn't mean it's poorly made.- No, the white part on the front of the dress is not solid; it's tulle. You will need a slip. (This is really the only complaint that I have about the product and why it did not earn a full five stars.)- It's heavy. The dress is pretty perfect for chilly October nights. I would highly recommend a different costume if you live somewhere with warmer fall temperatures.Basically, I really do love this costume. I'm sure it'll be a huge hit with my co-workers (co-villains) this Halloween!

For the price, this costume is well made and looks nice. The style hides a lot and is more age appropriate than most of the costumes available for women. The side profile does add some pounds to the middle/back. I am 5' 3" and wear a size 12 dress and a 38C bra size. I ordered based on all the reviews that said that it ran small. Started with the XL, based on reviews, which really would fit a woman sized 18-24ish. I ordered a large, and that would fit a larger 14-18. Then I ordered a medium, which says on the package 14-16. It fits well through in the chest, but if you are larger than a C cup, I do not think that it will fit. The arms are snug, not tight. It fits well through the waist and there is a comfortable amount of room through the hips. The length works with a 1-2" heel. If l wore flats, the hem would drag a bit. I do not know the specifics of the standard size that a number of reviewers ordered. I figured that after the Large and XL didn't fit, the medium should and it did. Overall, I am very happy with this costume and think it will be a hit for the mad tea party!

I did not expect the dress to be very high quality for the price. The weight of the fabric surprised me--much better than expected. I agree with other reviews that the belt is not great and I bought a different one, which works very well. It also needs something under it you don't mind people seeing--the white in front is very sheer, even with the tulle layer under the white/heart over skirt. I am 5' 10" and it's a little short for the 5" high heels I plan to wear with it, but it would be at the floor if I were wearing flats. It's also pretty big--without the belt, it kind of hangs weird. Really need a belt that will cinch the waist. It makes all the difference. It's not as low-cut as it looks (which I thought was a positive). You can pull it up and down under the belt to make it more or less revealing. Be prepared for red glitter on the floor--although it seems to be mostly where I'm standing when I tried it on/took it off. All-in-all, a great buy. It's the best costume I've ever had and for far less money than I thought I'd have to spend for the quality (full disclosure: it's been over 20 years since I last bought a costume).

Costumes are always iffy as far as size and quality, regardless of the price. Definitely worth $39. Everything was sewn properly and no holes or tears. I spritzed it with water and used a cool iron on the collar to get the few wrinkles out; it stands up just fine. The rest of the wrinkles on the dress hung themselves out. Wrinkles are to be expected due to packaging. The corset ties in the back and is awkward. It doesn't cinch so it doesn't fit properly where it should over the dress. I'm 5'3" and 155, usually size 10 pants, but large tops as I'm 38DD. I ordered a large, which is marked 14-16 on the package, and it fit in the bust fine, but was too big everywhere else. A medium might have been ok, but too big is better than too small. I may get a corset belt to get it to fit better. I gave it 4 stars because it's about 7 inches too long.

This would be a great costume for a someone who likes to be itchy and covered up; maybe a work function or trick or treating with young children. I’m almost 5’6” and 115 (34b-26/27-36) and ordered a SMALL; sizing is right on, length is perfect in flats. The look is not as flattering as it is in the pictures - it makes you look very, very boxy (no waist). It is full of glitter and it gets EVERYWHERE. For me, the dress rides up in the bust so you don’t have the cleavage shown in the stock photo :(. It sort of helps to keep the dress down once you affix & tie on the belt/faux corset, but it still doesn’t have the look I want. The crinoline (netting/tulle under the skirt) and the sleeves are extremely itchy. If you buy this, be sure to find leggings or stockings for your legs and long sleeves to help prevent the uncomfortable material from touching your skin. Unfortunately, I must return.

I only gave 4 stars as I actually returned the dress unworn, but it is exactly as pictured and fits well (I am a tall 12-14). The only reason I returned it is that I wanted it for a festival and realized on receipt that I would have died of heat-stroke after 4 days!..... Perfect for a fancy dress party though and really really good quality material.

Lovely dress, I cut it to make it shorter and wore a fluffy petticoat under. Looked lovely. The collar does not stand up, may need to starch it a little. The corset us purely decorative, if you want a good tight waist, buy your own corset.

This was exactly as described, delivered quicker than expected, and was very comfortable considering the party went on for over 12 hours! Would definitely use the buyer again. The fabric is stretchy so would fit any frame. I am 5ft5 and wore high heels so the length was perfect but you could bunch up the tope part if you were shorter.
