Best south indian coffee @ home without any filter-coffee making gear
Dont need to go to the Sagar Ratnas or the Saravana Bhawans for the good old traditional south indian coffee. The decoction is in small satchets good for 100 ml (teacup helping. 2 satchets for a mugful). I like it plain in just hot water -- some might like it with milk and sugar added separately to taste.The decoction is nice and thick and viscous. For the diehards who like a nice kick, can have it as is -- kinda like an espresso shot.Satchets are small and easy to carry around, easily tearable and non-leaky. Am looking forward to carry them on my treks (and hotel stays) and enjoy a pure hot steaming cup of good filter coffee up on them mountains -- none of the instant Nescafes and Bru's for me any more. Pricing works out to just abt Rs 10 for a satchet.Even right now I'm sipping this coffee as i write !!P.S. No I didnt get free coffee to post such a review. These are Easy to use sachets of liquid coffee decoction. I personally would have liked it if it came with added sugar to get the correct flavor. The most I like about this is the attractive sachet, I mean the small packet itself that makes me want to enjoy a cup of Joe daily..

just average
have been using decoctions for sometime now. the quantity is really less and makes less than half cup coffee. better to make a larger quantity packaging and less packets. just average taste of filter coffee. definitely have had better. not worth the effort.
