Old style with modern automation- Great espresso maker
This is a great product !They took a very proven and reliable design that has been around for decades and added the convenience and automation of an electric heater. Instead of having to watch it boil on a stove, this unit starts the heating and stops automatically when the coffee has brewed. Very simple to use.I did not use the froth maker. The jug is made of aluminum and is well designed. The stirrer sits at the bottom and when it is placed over the heater, it is coupled by a magnet. So there are no seals to leak over time. The only downfall of this design is that the stirrer is very small and is loose. It will likely get lost / fall down the drain ! It would have been better if it was attached to the bottom of the jug but was removable. Instead it is placed on a pivot at in the bottom of the jug and the magnet keeps it in place during the heating / frothing.Overall - Its a great product.Best of all, it makes amazing espresso coffee. ( of course, a great coffee depends on good quality coffee beans and good water..)

This little esspresso and froth maker is like having your own Starbuck in your kitchen.!
Makes making coffee house latte's very easy and makes a great product. It works great, I use Café Bustelo . once brewed I place moka pot off to the side add milk to the frother ( I have tries whole, 2percent as well as soy and almond ) all work great and it makes great foam does both hot or cold foam. It froths and turns off automatically when done. I have 1 at work and bought one for home so I have great coffee at both.

This is 110 V Electric Coffee Pot with Milk Forther
I bought this coffee maker to replace my defective Bialetti Electric Moka pot. I was only interested in electric espresso coffee maker to use it at work. The milk frother was a plus. In summary:1) The idea is great. The coffee pot and milk frother are totally separated from the electrical parts. This makes it easier and safer to wash it.2) I tried it twice and I’m satisfied so far with the coffee taste.3) There is a smell (similar to plastic material) from the electric base while the coffee is being prepared.4) You can easily prepare your cup of cappuccino. You need 4 minutes to prepare the milk and 8 minutes for the coffee.5) Guys from outside US, Canada, etc. The product works with 110 V despite what it is written on the specification. A very embarrassing mistake from the supplier. The plug is also 3 pin North American standard. In my country I have both 110 and 220. However, we will eventually change to 220. So later I will need to buy a transformer to be able to use it. So does anyone from Europe who bought this product based on the specifications written in the product listing.6) The coffee maker makes about 6 espresso cups for those familiar with Bialetti Moka express.7) I bought it for 44 USD. A great price compared to other brands.

DO NOT ask me any questions about this product. I wound up throwing it out.
I wrote a pretty favorable review shortly after I had first received this espresso maker/frother. I said that it makes a very full brew, compared to a cheap espresso maker I had been using which made a rather weak tasting coffee. On the downside, I was a little troubled by a "tinny" smell, as the metal this product is made of seems cheap (raw material, not like stainless steel). I had also stated that the frother worked great. Now that I've had the product for a couple of weeks, the frother (the "wisk" inside the cup) stopped working, and not only is the "tinny" smell still present, but the coffee now tastes like tin. If you look inside the bottom part of the pot, it's starting to "pit" from heat. So clearly it's some sort of metal that hasn't been treated properly, or it's simply a cheap metal. Very disappointed. I'm intending to contact the company to see if they'll allow me to return it.

Compact Espresso maker
I use this espresso maker daily and the hot plate and coffee pot are both high quality and does what it's supposed to do and very efficiently...The hot plate is exactly the size of the coffee pot because your stove tops are way too big and you wind up damaging a glass top stove like I have by putting undersized cookware or coffee pots on these burners....Also the coffee pot is ROBUST and solid, also this maker uses very little electricity....My only recommendation is DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE FOR THE FROTHER!!! BUY IT FOR THE COMPACT HOT PLATE AND COFFEE POT!!! VERY SPORADIC MAGNETIC BASED FROTHER!!!I DONT CARE FOR THE FROTHER FEATURE AS I ALREADY HAVE 3 FROTHERS BEFORE I BOUGHT THIS MACHINE AND FOUND OUT IT DOESNT WORK .....OTHER THAN THAT THIS IS A 5 STAR PRODUCT!!!

Great design but mechanics are flawed! Looking for a new unit!
Loved the product video and was super excited to gift to my adult son who loves Espreso, and the frother was a wonderful bonus! Product arrived in perfect condition but when we opened it it was missing the coffee basket....therefore we could NOT use it! I called Gourmia and explained what occurred and asked if they could expidite the order as we were really anxious to use our new Gourmia! It took 10 days to receive the part ....we were very disappointed! We have been using the coffee pot and frother with limited success...the whisk in the frother only works part of the time...it has to be just right or it makes a grinding noise and smells hot! Sometimes the frother works well and other times the froth is not stable but instead remains runny! Unfortunately,we are going to return this unit and look for another brand😠

Even better than I'd hoped
This... this is amazing. I don't think I'm trying to justify the expense to myself. Ever since this coffee maker arrived, I've been in a state of latte-induced bliss. It's compact enough to hang out on my desk at work, but it's sturdy, and it makes 6 shots of espresso at once. It's exceedingly easy to use and not terribly difficult to clean. Quality of espresso is similar to the shots I pull at home from my trusty DeLonghi. Coworkers love it when I "accidentally" make too much espresso and I have to share with them. (I'm just trying to spread the JOY.)

The milk frother isn't great but the coffee maker is very nice!
I love that I can just set it up, go away, and come back for a ready cup of black coffee. I love that I don't need to turn it on, wait for it to get warm enough, like an espresso machine. The coffee itself not as intense as an espresso machine, but it's good! The milk frother is pretty bad. I found out it only works if I add milk just below the frothing part, and then once it's on I can slowly add more milk, being careful that it won't splash everywhere. That way it works every time, but there's also a max amount of milk I can add after it's on. I suggest to experiment with water until you get the hang of it.

So loud
Takes forever to make your coffee. The milk frother broke within one day. It stopped spinning and frothing milk. Sounds like a lawn mower.
