Wow!! What a wonderful work (published in two volumes)! Indeed, all the strange and beautiful stories of the Zi bu yu, by Yuan Mei. However, I will certainly have to evoke some Chinese ghosts or demons to get part of my money back, as this 2 volumes set (like all other Brill publications...) is insanely expensive....Indeed, you go Brill, you get drilled (I mean your wallet or purse.....)! But well, after all, it is the only complete English version of that outstanding work... So, i guess one has to sweat and convulse a bit before attaining that nirvana... One thing is sure: if married (or in couple...), your partner will do (sweat and convulse), when finding out about the book's cost (and with no nirvana in sight....... ). Thank God, i am single and so, i can be as round the bend as i like (and i like it a lot).0;)))))
