It works as advertised, cleans quickly and thoroughly.
It works as advertised, cleans quickly and thoroughly. This allows you to purchase higher quality rollers and reuse them. Higher quality rollers work MUCH better then the $0.99 ones. The difference in better supplies will be seen in the results and in the effort you have to put forth. To clean the roller I place it in the REJUV-A-ROLLER and run the water for about 1 to 2 minutes. I then take the roller out and insert it back in the REJUV-A-ROLLER in the opposite direction as before. I then run the water again for about 1 to 2 minutes. I am on a well for my tap water so our pressure is less then a normal city utility supply. Higher water pressure may increase the cleaning ability and decrease the cleaning time for this product. This may be obvious but rollers should be cleaned soon after painting and not allowed to dry before cleaning. I also recommend rinsing the REJUV-A-ROLLER off after all of your cleaning is done.If you have ever cleaned (or tried to clean) a paint roller you know it will take a long time. This product will save you time, water, and rollers. Also with the reduction of water use it is possible to clean them in a 5 gallon paint bucket. The diluted paint can then be disposed properly. This way the diluted paint will not end up in the environment, sewer or your septic tank. The main tubes of the product are made of high quality (high density) plastic. The self coiling hose is nice and seems to be similar quality of one you would find in garden supply store. It is also fairly similar to a compressed air coil hose. The sink fitting is nice, I would prefer a metal one, but the ability for it to fit several types of faucets is good. This product seems quite solid and well designed; overall I was impressed with it.The only down side to this product as I see it is that it is made in China. Don't let the American Flag on the box fool you. It is designed in the USA and made in China. The US flag on a product made in China always annoys me.

Does a very good job quickly
I recently purchased this item and a couple of other painting tools. I was amazed with the results. I have to admit I was a little skeptical with all of the positive reviews but the thing works. I did find I needed to scrape the roller first of excess paint. Doing this improved the cleaning process and saved paint and water. I purchased the "Purdy Stainless Steel Brush and Roller Cleaning Tool" about $6.50 on Amazon and pre-cleaned each roller by scraping off the excess paint. I then put the roller into this device and turned on the water. A few minutes later the roller is clean. I like to use a little detergent to help clean the roller better and then rinse one last time. This device works best with full size (9") rollers. I found half size rollers did not clean as well so I removed one star from my rating. The product is well made. Any garden hose will fit on this device so if the included hose should ever fail just go out an buy a new hose. If you want to save water and reduce your cleaning time well worth the investment.

Works Well for a Roller Not Intended
One could easily debate whether or not one should even try to clean a "standard" roller. They are cheap enough and most of us don't roll all that often so that maybe one should just throw them away after use. In my case, I have a Wagner Power roller system that uses a "custom" roller. On the outside, it looks like all other rollers. On the inside, however, there are lots of little holes that feed paint from a core tube into the roller nap on the outside. This system works very well and you never have to go back to a tray to "re-load" paint on the roller. This roller cleaner is intended for other than my Wagner roller. It basically forces high pressure water along the outside of the roller to quickly clean it. In my case, I need the inside of the roller cleaned as well. Knowing this in advance, I wasn't really sure that this product would be of value. But, it did do a pretty quick and pretty thorough job on my Wagner roller! The product quality was very good and it comes with an additional sleeve (which I didn't need) for smaller diameter rollers. It also comes with a "plug" that you're supposed to insert into the back end of the roller. I'm assuming that this plug prevents water from going into the center of the roller and thus reducing the pressure. Since I wanted the interior of the roller to be cleaned as well, I didn't use the plug. Summarizing, the price was good, the quality was good, and even though I wasn't cleaning a "standard" roller, I thought the result was good and faster than I have achieved manually.

Worked wonderfully until the third time, now in the trash can.
Loved this the first couple of times I used it, cleaned my rollers in a fraction of the time.Until the third use, which is when the screw cap refused to screw on with a roller in the tube. This is not a cheapo roller, its a nice Purdy higher quality roller that I had already cleaned once before. Nothing I could do would allow me to screw the cap on now. The roller was in the tube perfectly straight (and in the adapter), the center cap fit down into the center of the roller, but it will not screw on. Applying some force did nothing, it wanted to screw on crooked. This now sits in the trash after having wasted 10 minutes trying to get it to work again.Waste of $20 and now more of my time.
