Works as expected
It's about the size of a fat wallet, so it’s definitely not meant for ionizing an entire house, but it’s perfect for small enclosed spaces like my home office. It works great. The build quality feels much better than some reviews suggest—it just seems like any regular electronic device. As for the noise, I’m not sure what others are talking about; all I hear is a very faint, almost inaudible hum when it’s running. I’m completely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable ionizer for small areas.

Absolutely makes a difference.
I must admit that this little thing is pretty nice. The air in the room seems less stale and we feel better too. A nice little benefit in my opinion is the reduction of static electricity (the cats really appreciate it) even when the humidity in the house is very low. It is also nice to not have it occupy a wall outlet like many others, which seems to me like it would limit the effectiveness of it. I will be getting one for my bedroom and the basement as well.

Works well at cleaning the air.
I love this machine, and it works well, until it just suddenly doesn't work anymore one day. They last about 2 to 3 years before they die, and this is true even though I cleaned it monthly as instructed. You just can't seem to buy anything that lasts anymore, no matter how much you pay. But, of the air cleaners out there, this one takes up very little space, is generally pretty quiet, and works well. I wish it lasted longer considering the price, which is why I took one star away.

Expensive, inconsistent, unreliable; tried 2 units, both failed
It seemed to work for a couple days and then pooped out. In those couple days, my sinuses cleared up and my breathing was easier; and then returned to baseline when the ionbox stopped working. I had Amazon send me a replacement, but I can’t even get it to turn on. So disappointing. I called customer service to ask about a 2nd replacement and they wouldn’t issue it; but recommended I PURCHASE a new product — mind you the price went up $20. For the price of this, I expected way more. You may get lucky and receive a working unit, but it needs to stay working more than a few days. Simply “working” is not enough; it needs to work reliably and consistently, and I’ve had two defunct units now, and no one is being held accountable for this mishap.

Makes chittering, shuffling, and high-pitched whistling sound
This did clean the air. When it was on, I burned an incense. The smell of the incense disappeared after it burned out which is not usually the case, right? Usually an incense smell lingers, so it definitely clears smoke and smells. I also had less sneezing spells in the morning and my nose didn't run as much. However, it makes a very annoying sound that I just cannot bear. The fan itself is very quiet. But it periodically makes chittering, shuffling, gurgling and high-pitched whistling sounds. The sounds are continuous and last for hours. I messaged them and they said the reason is because dust and particles get caught in the fan. So they said use the brush it came with to clean it and blow canned air through it. So I cleaned it with the brush, still heard the annoying sounds. Bought canned air and thoroughly blew it, and still there was no change in the annoying sounds... I requested a replacement because maybe mine was defective? But the replacement had the same issue and in addition to that, the fan was louder. I happened upon an article that said ionic air purifiers may be dangerous because the released ions bond to things in the home such as paint, asbestos, or whatever else to potentially create carcinogenic by-products. And ionic purifiers also cause heart problems over time.... so I am just going to look for a HEPA filter instead. Good luck to anyone else.

It actually works!!!
We live in Arizona, and keeping up with the dust, well allergies are just going to happen no matter how clean your house is. I bought one for our place and three for our son. Phenomenal difference guys. We love it. Our grandsons coughing and watery eyes have definitely gotten better as my son does not want to give them meds all the time. We have had them about a week now and the minute you walk in our homes, you can just smell the freshness. Have them on all the time. 👍🏽👍🏽 For sure We won’t be without them

I thought it just a toy give it a try as it small, but it just work
My situation: only want a room not a house better breath. I sometimes feel that this little stuff better than the air clenser with filter (portable), I mean the level of fresh. No machine to measure, but --> my cousin everytime visit me say my house is suffocating and feel air not good, with this, he say the air cooler ?? and can feel the difference --> my 2 bird more happier when I turn this on, they move not just stand still, more energy --> I only feel --> more fresh, not know what happen I use it in room, and now I buy same brand product and wanna give it a try.

Packaged like its worth $70, but out of package worth maybe $15.
The ionbox is packaged like a high quality device, but when you open it and pull it out of the nice box and jewelry bags it comes it, its almost laughable. It looks and feels like a cheap plastic toy. It made me think of those USB desktop fans that sell for around $15 dollars and run for a few weeks before the cheap parts wear out. On the good side, as soon as I plugged it in, it ran quiet and produced a faint ozone smell so it does seem to be working. The output however is miniscule. Nowhere near what a device of this price should be outputting. I get similar performance from a $4 unit I bought out of China.

Cannot tell if it’s doing anything
I’m honestly a bit disappointed. I bought this to see if it would help us with our sleep and maybe it is cleaning the air but it is not a noticeable difference. Our sleep stayed the same, the bedroom feels the same, doesn’t feel like the air is cleaner. For such an expensive device I would think there’d be a more noticeable difference. At least something we could pick up on. Also, it lets out a really high pitched screech from time to time which prevents me from sleeping if I notice it. Unfortunately, not worth the price.

Very expensive for what you get
I was highly disappointed in this product. An eighth of the size of what I was expecting

Hard to feel any difference??
I've been using it constantly 24 hours a day for about one week now but I haven't noticed much if any of the supposed benefits of negative ions. The unit is very small I'm just wondering if it doesn't produce enough ions to create the benefits noted by some sources.

Loud
After a day of use the fan sounds like it's breaking. Already really loud. Will probably return soon if it keeps making alot of noise. Saw some larger units that also do ozone on here that look more heavy duty. This one seems kinda cheap like it's meant to be semi portable or something.
