Eiko EJL MR16 GX5.3 Base Halogen Bulb, 24V/200W

The EiKO ENZ bulb didn't fit in my Kodak Moviedeck 435. It turns out that the shape of the reflector is slightly different from the shape of the vintage ENZ (GE brand) bulb that did fit in the projector. The different shape caused the locking bar to push the bulb away from the electrical contacts. The bulb was returned for full credit...thanks Amazon. I ordered a new GE brand ENZ bulb and found the same (unacceptable) shape of the bulb. Forced to improvise to make the new shape function, I did find an easy fix. Instead of placing the locking bar in its intended locking notch, I was able to lock it into the bottom corner of the lamp housing. This new location allowed the locking bar to keep the bulb in electrical contact and also correctly positioned for illuminating the film gate. Problem solved! So I give the EiKO bulb a 1 for not working, a 5 for probably being a good bulb, and an overall 3.

Extras to have for my old Movie projector.

I bought this bulb for my father-in-law to use in his old Kodak movie projector. The bulb burnt out in less than five minutes. These bulbs are rated for a short life (40 hrs.), but five minutes for a $16.00 bulb is insane. If you buy a bulb, don't buy these cheap bulbs, they will not last.
