Most of the USB A to USB C cables available are USB 2.0, not 3.0. These are USB 3.0, so they get great power and data transfer rates. We're using them with Galaxy phones, iPhones, and Kindles, and they work flawlessly for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. These braided cables should also be strong enough to stand up to the abuse my kids subject them to. Time will tell, but so far, so good. I didn't notice they come in a shorter length. Otherwise, I might have ordered two shorter ones for the car, but the price on the 6-foot is good enough that I'll just coil up the slack.
