Worked perfect on a 2011 BMW 528i 6cyl
No more bunch of error codes. Car use to start perfect but after a few minutes it would act like it’s going to stall and had hiccups. The RPM would bounce and once I would stop the car and restarted it, it would act like it wanted to stop and had misfires. I installed this part on January 20th 2024, drove it, cleared the codes and rescanned for codes and all the issues were solved. I was very careful removing the bolts of the old sensor as there was a chance if removed all the way out it would fall in the engine. They did not had to be removed all the way out. I removed slowly evenly until I was able to pull out the old sensor while all 3 bolts were still attached to the sensor. While installing this new sensor I had to screw in all 3 bolts slightly more than half way in for the sensor to slide in and be installed. If in the future this Eccentric Shaft Sensor fails or gives me any problems. I will come back and updated this review. This was installed on a 2011 BMW 528i 6cyl. Did the job myself first time ever by watching bunch of YT videos on how to change valve cover gasket as the process is the same and there were more options to look at. Itook me about 2-3 hrs from start to finish and I did it very patiently. This part looks and feels very similar to the oem that was installed in the car. I believe it also weighs the same.

It does the job in rough conditions
Drove 800 miles and drove at 140mph for 40 minutes straight 12 hours after installation 0 hiccups. I've only had it in for driving on this wack day but it's holding up better than I am.Update 8/8/25: I haven't changed my oil and my car marches on cold or hot. 0 issues at all. Chinesium is king

Works for a quick fix to get by though, helped in a pinch
Stopped working before a year and it was driven a very little amount compared to your average driver

Fixed
2011 328I wouldn't start. Long crank with a little chug here and there but would fire on starting fluid. It took me a couple hours to replace because you need to take off the whole top of the motor. The car fired right up with no issue. This fixed the problem.

Works great
No complaints at all. 325i runs great with this sensor installed, no codes, clean idle.

Do not buy this. It is not even close to what it should be. It almost ruined my engine
It looks exactly like the real thing, it fits & connects properly but after running for about 25 minutes it shows several trouble codes and makes the engine howl as if no oil is getting into the VVT system. It also does not turn on the check engine light. This part is very deceiving. Do not trust it. This is my own fault for being cheap. There’s a reason this sensor is a few hundred dollars everywhere else and this one is less than one hundred.
