Glad I bought this, and the USB was a selling point so I can use my smartphone as a monitor. Planning to use for a night vision scope camera for varmint hunting.**This camera has an IR filter installed. You will have to remove it for night vision purposes.**Automatic brightness/contrast adjustment is pretty fast.The picture was from a quick test through my scope looking at a couple rats about 20 yards away using an IR flashlight. The quality is a lot better, but I was holding the scope and the camera, trying to set focus as well as keep everything aligned.

Received open box item without documentation. After opening box I immediately thought this was not going to work. Sure enough this camera does not work, sending back for a refund.

Good form factor makes it easy to make a prototype but image quality can be spotty (grainy and low frame rates compared to some other options)
