This trash can is great - looks great and functions great! The finish on this can is nice and opening and soft auto-close feature work great. Soft slow closing lid. Bottom doesn't grip the floor well and constantly is sliding backwards into the cabinet behind it and rubbing the finish off the side of the cabinet. Good thing we don't value our old cabinets so much and we are trying to find some kind of non-slip gripper to put under the trash can. That is my only complaint. The air fresheners that came with the can were a bit strong for those sensitive to perfumes, but they aren't necessary for the function of the can, so not a big deal.Only other issue we've had was the way it was shipped. The manufacturer box just had a shipping label stuck on it and sent "as is" with no reinforcement or protection of the contents. Manufacturer packaging is intended to protect items in a store/shelf setting, not the bumping and abuse of shipping and distribution centers full of automated equipment and sorting machines! The box was obviously open when the package arrived and you could see where the lid had scuffed against something. Fortunately the scuff marks mostly came out with some stainless steel cleaner.Seller did a great job giving a discount for the product being damaged during shipment. Can worked, it just had the slight scuff marks remaining and a small dent, so we were able to reach a mutual agreement on a slight refund instead of replacement. Seller was notified they should put manufacturer box into a shipping box before shipping these to prevent this problem in future.

This is a very well made wast can, size is good,foot pedal work good,the lid opens and closes with ease. I like the heavy duty plastic liner very much, it will keep the can clean in case the bag should break. They even thought of putting a couple of holes in the liner.( this helps fitting the bag in the can, it won't bubble up.) the little air freshener attachment is also a nice feature. ( who doesn't have stinky, smelly rubbish sometimes for a little while?) the can cleans with ease, no fingerprint, just wipe with a soft damp cloth. I've gotten complements on this can, it does look very nice in its spot. I hope this review will help. Oh yes, it is a little expensive, but your paying for quality.

This trash can is a game changer!!! Ever since I got my own apartment about 10 years (or so) ago, I had the idea (in the back of my mind) to buy a kitchen trash can. Now, obviously, I didn't throw my trash on the floor during those 10 (or so) years, but I might as well have because, if I didn't take out my trash every couple of days, the grocery bags that I would use for my garbage would slide off of the door handle and make a disgusting mess on my nice hardwood floors. Words cannot describe how fun it is to clean up a wet, smelly, and disgusting mess like the one that comes from spilled garbage. I also had the (terrible) habit of procrastinating before getting off my butt and throwing my garbage away (Gamerz gotta game!!!). Upon sticking this amazing piece of modern technology in my kitchen, however, it's as if my personality changed overnight. Now, instead of waiting until the last minute to throw garbage away, I confidently march over to my new trash can, knowing that it is hungry for the trash that I am about to feed it with and then, I push down on the pedal and its hungry mouth opens wide as I drop the trash inside. As a final "thank you" for providing a sacrificial offering, I receive the blessing of, what I can only describe as being from the Gods, as I am graced with the scent of the pleasant air freshener that brightens even the gloomiest of days. Also, my new trash can looks stylish which is a plus. I could probably go on for days describing how amazing this trash can is, but it would serve you no purpose unless you buy one for yourself. And that's EXACTLY what YOU should do.

I looked all over for a nice looking trash can for my kitchen (I don't have a cabinet in which to keep a trash can), that was big enough for the waste (minus recycling) for a family of 4. The best features of this can are 1) the bag doesn't rip when I pull it out, thanks to the plastic liner can, 2) the lid closes slowly and quietly, not clanging like my old can, and 3) it's the perfect size. The only things keeping me from giving it 5 stars are 1) it says "non-skid" but it does slide around a bit on our laminate flooring, and 2) it would be nice to have a system to hold the bag in place on the outside of the plastic liner, but a large rubber band remedied this situation. All in all I am pleased with this purchase, despite the hefty price tag. So far, it has been worth every penny to stop the headaches caused by our old trash can.

Unlike other reviews arrived with no damage. This is a really nice looking trash can that fits in great with a kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The step lid function feels very solid and well built. Great bonus that it has a freshener to keep it smelling nice. We've had the automatic opening lids but they've been unreliable especially as the batteries lose power which is not at all convenient when you've got your hands full of garbage and the lid won't open. This is much more reliable, convenient and easy to use.

I am so happy with this purchase! This is a beautiful trash can and I really love it! It is aesthetically appealing, functional, decorative, and really enhances the décor of my kitchen. I paid for expedited shipping and got it in 3 days rather than 7 to 10 days! It was shipped in a double box and arrived in perfect condition; not one dent or scratch. We popped in a 13 gallon size bag (which fits perfectly), inserted the Freshner, and we were good to go. Although, I never realized that trash cans had become so expensive, this one is definitely top quality. I am no longer embarrassed by my kitchen garbage can and that is a big deal! Just love it!
