For the price, it's hard to argue against these...
For the price that I bought these at...these speakers are really something special. I used them for my record player. Of course, sound quality on a turntable will vary on what you've got from the entire thing to the stylus...so what you hear will be different than what I hear. You may also be using this for something other than a turntable! So in that case, you may have to read another review. The look of these things is gorgeous. I couldn't snap a GREAT photo but I did provide one of my setup and they matched the shelf I had perfectly. Very pretty to look at. People complain about the blue lights that circle the knob, but I love it. Really clean and pretty looking. When I watched one of the few reviews on Youtube, one guy mentioned that it had superb mid-to-high end tone...and I DEFINITELY agree. It's next level. At this price? You'll likely never hear it better. It's GOD-TIER. But that may also be due to my stylus because what I have helps with those tones as well. Bass is great too. I don't listen to the kind of current music that would require something insane...but I don't like bass in my music as loud as people who do anyway...so I don't care. It gets loud enough to feel believe me. And it's never burried if it's in the mix. I think people will be really happy with that. And obviously, since it's controllable...that's also great.Sometimes the entire package doesn't get loud enough...but it depends. Usually on the media I'm playing itself. But generally it's perfect for my ears. This is truly an oustanding product and for around 70 bucks, you won't find much better than this. This company should be mighty proud of what they've done here. Audiophiles...I might consider myself one...but I also try not to be an elitist jerk...THE OTHER ONES...may laugh if you used these with a turntable. I wouldn't. They're a great value, do the job extremely well, and look awesome.

Very impressive sound
I had never heard of this brand of speakers but I saw they had high ratings and a reasonable price. I was searching for a speaker system for my teen daughter to book up to her gaming lap top in her small bedroom. I decided to go with these. I am personally very picky about sound , I do some mixing and recording as a hobby and I also Dj. I own a lot of high end audio equipment along with $1000s in speakers. The first thing I said when we started the swans up was WOW! For $90 I was not expecting anything spectacular. These speakers are not Extremely loud nore do they have heavy base that you can feel. What they do have is very precise detailed accurate sound that is very well balanced. The stereo separation , sound stage , and precision is more then impressive at this price. They are designed more for the person sitting in front of them not to fill up a big room but I love sitting in front of them and they are more then loud enough for a bedroom or other small room. As longAs you are not Looking for extreme volume and bumping bass and our planning on using them in a small room I highly recommend giving these a try! Don't spend $100+ on some over priced Bose speakers with out listening to these first. I will be taking a look at some Of there bigger more expensive speakers in the future now that I have listened to this system.

Excellent Value
I needed two sets of speakers, one to replace my ancient Altec Lansings, and one for a new computer. After hours of research, it came down to Swan M10, Klipsch Promedia 2.1, and Logitech z623. Sound quality was the most important concern. Eventually, I eliminated the Logitech z623 based on some negative sound quality feedback, and I could not demo them at the local BB. Ended up buying both the Swan M10 and Klipsch. After several hours of A-B testing, these are my wholly untrained non-audiophile impressions. The sound quality is very similar, and you can't go wrong with either set. I prefer the sound of the Klipsch by a very small amount. It is slightly brighter across the frequency spectrum, and it has the ability to put out more sound at maximum settings. Since I never play music at ear-splitting levels, this was not a real factor in my evaluation, just a note for those interested. The M10 sound is slightly warmer, and can't get as loud.I knocked off a star for the following engineering issues I did not care for on the Swans. First is the bright blue light on the volume knob (which is generously large). The less obtrusive the lighting the better for me. Second, I prefer the black color of the Klipsch to the pearl white of the M10, which seems to be the only color available in the US. Third, I don't like the power switch and subwoofer volume control on the back instead of the front. I had to turn the subwoofer sideways to make it easy to access these. Both seemed to be quality builds. I have real concerns about the longevity of the Klipsch based on many comments. There does not seem to be the same concern with the Swans, but they have not been out nearly as long, or have as many reviews. The street price of the Swan M10 seems to be about $30 less than the Klipsch, if that matters. In sum, the sound quality on both is excellent, and the life of the M10 may be better than the Klipsch, which is known for early failure. So far after one week and hours of listening, I am thrilled with both.
