Upon the first look at this case, I was not impressed But after 24 hrs... two thumbs up!
When I first got this case I was not impressed at all. From the item description, there was supposed to be a built-in screen protector.(at least thats the way I understood it) There is not. Its another thin sheet of some sort of plastic... However, the benefits of the hardened case and the charger/extra battery, far out weigh the screen saver thing. Now I make it all day, with HARD usage with plenty of battery to spare. Sure is a big plus from my already worn out otterbox defender! Buy this one! Only drawback I can find is,,,, the power and volume buttons are a little too easy to press without actually that being your intentions. Decent instructions would have been a nice thing to include.... good luck finding a youtube video on exactly how to install the screen protector... you won't find one for the S3. The exact operation of the charging system.. read the book about a dozen times, play with the button and you will figure it out. Again...someone needs to help this company write an instruction book.:)

Durable Case, Portable Power doesnt deliver..
The case itself is one of the best I have ever had it does not even come close to the saggy and loose otterboxes I've had in the past. This case uses silicone on the inside and not the outside so it is wrapped around the phone while the hard plastic is on the outside holding that silicone together, the exact opposite of an otterbox. An otterbox silicone is on the outside and takes the beating and eventually becomes very loose. This protects my phone better and lasts much much longer than an otterbox. I had 2 defender series cases that each lasted me no more than a couple of months of use in construction, this is yet to fail or ware out on me.The charging portion on the other hand is a disappointment, quickly began to fail on me. After just a couple of weeks my phone would no longer charge the case after it charged the phone, The plug is way too tight of a fit in the port that I think it may have even slightly damaged my phone! The case adds a huge amount of bulk and weight due to this battery which even when fully charged does not bring my battery back to 100% once low. Also from this case constantly charging and not charging my phone I think my battery life is actually worse and may need a new battery now months later. This case should have included one bug battery to replace the oem one. The concept of charging another battery with another battery just isn't a good idea and leads to a bunch of problems. They could have gotten much more battery life and no problems if they kept it at 1 single battery instead of two.My case being under warranty I requested a replacement. I contacted them in July, and only received a replacement in September! no joke! And my new case has the same problem already...Overall the case itself is excellent while the Portable Power is really poor. I have not tried the kraken series but supposedly its the same build without the battery, if that's the case then I would certainly recommend that over any other case on the market in terms of durability.

WORST CASE EVER
This is the worst case I have ever owned. The first one the microusb plug fell out and the second one cracked around the port. In addition I am on my third phone because the micro usb plug damaged the port on my phone. The cable is so short the plug cant be plugged straight in. The extra battery is nice but not worth it.

great case but with a few flaws
great case and it performs well. there is no real protection for the screen save the peel and place screen protector but its not built totally for protection...but for charging. The charging part of the case worked well for me...and if you read the enclosed directions you will learn how to operate the case and learn how to turn the charging circuit on and off when plugged in and when not plugged in. As others here have stated my case too did not snap together at the bottom...but after contacting Trident they are sending a replacement quickly.UPDATE:16 August 2013 somehow the replacement was lost in shipment but a new one is going to be sent rush mail as of monday....customer service has in spite of the loss very helpful and sympatheticUPDATE:22/Aug/2013- Now I am told by Trident to wait for 3-4 weeks because they have to test my replacement....that long to test a battery?dont bather with this case....a replacement shouldnt take a month to be replaced...a battery case or not I am changing my mind on their customer service....UPDATE 8/25/2013recieved my replacement...it definitely fits better and snaps together better than the first. I will have to see if this one charges my phone as well as the last. if it does I will raise my rating.FINAL UPDATE 8/27/2013the case broke again in the exact same way as the first one...although it fits better than the first. the materials just won't provide the durability for the case..I never dropped it but it still broke...and it broke just because I picked it up from my nightstand...it seems the clips on the side are too stressed or something...its a design flaw pure and simple...but it looks like they fixed it with the Galaxy s4 version, I just dont have that phone....ugh.
