We loved this for 1 year. We are popcorn lovers and didn't have any issues. It doesnt shoot the unpopped kernels everywhere. Dispenses perfect amount of popcorn. Just stopped working after 1 year of use..

Worked fine for six months. Now won't turn on. Contacted Westbend for warranty claim. Ridiculous process requiring a 20 second video of it not working. Seriously?Don't buy it. Don't buy West end products at all. Cheap junk. Low quality. Customer service creates obstacles not solutions.

There are so many features I really like about this popcorn popper. The popper cover is set into deep grooves so it isn't easily bumped out of place. The cord also stores easily out of way. The "hopper" (Popcorn Storage Chamber) holds a lot of kernels for numerous batches, and is so handy. I also really like the "Dispensing Dial". It is such a great concept, but when dispensing fewer than maximum, unpopped seeds come out like crazy. Even heating the popper for 15-20 seconds before dispensing the kernels into the machine, they still don't all pop. That is probably the biggest negative for me. I use a popper very frequently for all types of gourmet, flavored popped corn recipes.

Okay it presents an interesting engineering problem. How does one keep the popcorn moving up and out into the bowl without flinging it all over the kitchen? The designers apparently went a little conservative on the blower. The barrel clogs frequently. It's not a fatal exception but it is a nuisance. Other people say the brand of popcorn makes a difference.

After only a few uses the machine died. It just suddenly quit working.

Was needing a popcorn maker and this one seemed perfect. I’ve used this machine about three times since I’ve received it. The machine is easy to use, however, I’ve noticed the bottom of the inside is getting a bit brown despite me cleaning it after each use; today (3/30/19), it started smoking a bit and burnt some kernels; the cover that prevents the kernels from falling in the bowl is getting too hot and one of the inserts no longer can attach to the machine.

I was looking for a hot air popcorn popper and decided this was a good model not too cheap and not too expensive I wanted one that would last for awhile.I order the first one and after plugging it in and pouring popcorn kernels in it didn't work. I flipped up the switch to power and nothing happened I even tried different outlets. So, I asked for a replacement figured it was a flux. The replacement arrived and this time it worked but after a couple of days the same thing happened it didn't turned on. I thought what's the big deal after all it just a hot air blower with an off/on switch ? This time I asked for my money back. I did have to pay for a box to send it back. I had cut up the box since I thought it would work for more than a day.I do like the way Amazon is setup to return items no problems with them it just the company doesn't make a good product. I normally don't like to return items and I don't do reviews since it hard to tell if they are honest.I wanted to do a no 'star rating' but that is not an option.

This was a pretty good popcorn maker until it died after three months. It was only used occasionally, probably 10 times at the most. If it hadn't stopped working, it probably would have been a 4 star. Rarely left unpopped kernels and was easy to use. Design is pretty meh, but functional. Popcorn taste was consistent with air poppers in general.... a bit on the soft side.... a different experience from the movie popcorn we're used to. However, one reason that movie popcorn might be a bit tougher is just that it's stale. I worked at a theater back in the day and there were just giant bags of popcorn in storage. They would dump the popcorn in the machine between shows (few people in the lobby) and just warm it up. Anyway....

This popper worked for approximately 10 popcorn servings. The motor just quit working. It was never overfilled or left on. Just a piece of garbage.
