What is the refresh rate? The ad incorrectly lists the refresh rate was 6.5ms, which is actually called response time.
I plugged the monitor in my mac, it worked, it was beautiful. then about 1 minute later it went blank, nothing. anybody have ideas? bad monitor?

Great Monitor at a Great Prince.

This is your best bang for the buck. The quality of the picture astounded me. It made my old NEC monitor look tired and faded. I plugged it in to my Radeon HD 5450 DVI port and it came right up at 2560 x 1440 resolution. No issues, no dead pixels, just a great picture. I switched it in Windows 10 to be my primary monitor and use the NEC as the second monitor. My office does not present glare issue that really highly the sharpness and clarity of the image. In summary, I am impressed that this monitor gives me the performance of a monitor costing a lot more with this resolution. If you are looking to add more real estate to your viewing area, this will do it cheaply and satisfactorily. Drag one window to the other monitor and back. This far exceeds my expectations and I highly recommend you seriously consider it.

Good quality high pixel 2k monitor for cheap.

Colors are very good, mine had no dead pixels. The controls are pretty good for monitor of this price. I was able to hit 80hz by overclocking so pairing up with a RX 470 with Freesync reduced my input lag and framerates. The only negative here is the screen had some corner light leak but not noticeable unless you have total dark room..

I was hopeful given the available features at this price range. But, as mentioned the light bleed is freaking horrible. I'm really tempted to return and get something else.

Small limitation doesn't negate how nice this display is

A couple of things you should know:* HDMI is 1080p only. If you want 1440p you need either Dual-Link DVI or DisplayPort. It comes with cables for both, but they're kind of short. If your PC isn't on your desk you'll want cables with extra length.* Either it doesn't come with screws that attach the base to the stand, or mine came without them. Not sure which. The friction alone is enough to keep it in the base, though. EDIT 1/11/2017: I found the screws still in the box thanks to a commenter.* Some places advertise the 27" EQ278C with a "2880x1620" resolution. It's a silly gimmick where the monitor advertises a higher-than-native resolution to the OS and you can pick something a little bit higher than normal. What you should know is that it doesn't actually drive that many pixels.* That doesn't matter; as a 2560x1440 monitor, this is an outstanding display. My sample has no color shifting (unlike my 21" Haswell iMac) and it's nice and bright. After a quick run with my colorimeter, the colors look great. It's probably a 6-bit panel, but the colors it can show look fantastic.Despite a niggling shortcoming (no HDMI 1.4 for 1440p) I still give it 5 stars because it looks great and the price is rightUpdate on 1/11/17: I've had it for about 5 weeks now and I have noticed that on black screens there's some hefty backlight bleed. It's probably not something you'd want to do professional color-accurate work on, but for $180 the color reproduction is very good, and it's held since I got it. I calibrated with my ColorMunki Smile when I bought it and I calibrated again last night. The before/after on the second calibration are indistinguishable. Also, I did find the screws for the base.Update on 3/17/17: The glue/adhesive that is holding the display in place has started to give out and the display is separating from the housing. It doesn't stay together anymore and one of the ribbons inside the display must have been pulled loose since it doesn't come on anymore. EQD has gone out of business, but SquareTrade is honoring their warranty. A shame, because I really liked this monitor.

Good bang for the buck. Very nice display

I was really hesitant to purchase this because of the lack of reviews and information out there on this screen, so I feel obligated to leave a review. My monitor arrived today well packaged, and with no dead or stuck pixels. It came with a dual link DVI and display port cable. In the 3 hours I've had it hooked up I'm amazed at the colors and the clarity of the display. I feel it's a bit oversaturated but I turned it down in my graphic card settings. While I was in there I was able to turn up the refresh rate to 90hz which I was rather surprised by.For the price I'm happy and I'll update the review after a few months of use

Four Stars

Extremely nice looking display. Slight backlight bleed, but not terrible. Nice adjustable stand. A fantastic purchase for the price.

Just stopped detecting input.

Revived on Nov. 16, 2016, no longer detects input (HDMI or D VI ) any longer. Worked fine until Jan. 7, 2017, then just will not detect any connection that I try.
