Nice bit kit
Appears well made and saves a lot of space compared with buying individual filters.Very slim and easy to use.

Well manufactured 77mm ND filter with multi-layered coatings
This ND filter from Neewer is ideal for a beginner or amateur photographer to shoot in different conditions with slower shutter speeds and wider apertures. The filter has a 9.55mm ultra-thin lens with precise threading that is easy to mount. It has a wide outer frame that prevents vignettes in your shots. Also, it has 42 nano-coatings that reduce flare and ghosting and can block ultraviolet rays from 300nm up to 380nm. With the coatings, it can protect the filter from moisture, oil, dust, and scratches.I have some ND filters from this brand and I must say that it never disappoints me. The filter is easy to use and well made and I have no problem with its control ring as it rotates smoothly. However, if compared to my branded filters, as expected, this also works, but not as premium as the branded ones. In addition, you need to have a larger lens cover since the usual one will not fit in because of the filter. Nonetheless, I am still very satisfied with its quality. All in all, if I were a beginner or amateur photographer, this would be a great investment. It is reasonably priced and has impressive quality.

Game changer
Having owned a Sony A7Sii since 2015 with various lenses added over time, I'd come across the issue of the lack of ND filter compared to my other cameras which had them built in.Way back when, variable ND at this price didn't exist, so I was a little hesitant but had a job coming up where I knew it would be essential. For around £30 (I bought more than one) I was really pleased with what I received and now can't believe I didn't buy these sooner!

Image quality
This comes at a great price and is relatively easy to use. However, I find that when I stop it down to more than 6 stops I get a shadow entering the picture from top and middle bottom of the frame that I have to correct in editing. But I don’t really need it to be greater than 6 stops, so for my purposes it’s fine.

The filter itself is good quality, but I question the claimed range of 9 stops.
I fitted this to my Canon EF 100-400 L MKII, with a Canon R6 camera. So I figured, good quality lens, camera with the latest technology, it should be easy to identify any problems with this Neutral Density filter. The box claims ND2-400. I have no idea what that means. ND2 should be half the light, so presumably the 400 should mean 1/400th of the light, yet the box claims 9 stops of adjustment, which by my calculation means 1/512th of the light.Anyway, how it works is what’s important. A lot of variable ND filters have no markings and you just turn them until you get the effect you desire. This one is marked on the rim. It has a max and min mark and 10 white spots. Since it claims to have a 9 stop range, I would have expected 9 spots?Anyway, I popped it on the lens and nipped out into the garden, chose an ISO of 6400 so I had plenty of room to manoeuvre as I ventured into the higher end of Neutral Densityness.I took eight consecutive shots using the camera’s exposure evaluation (Av) until I got to my max aperture of 4.5, then I switched to Tv to take a final couple of shots. I moved the adjustment ring on the ND filter to the next white blob each time. There was a little room left to adjust the filter but I stopped because I’d run out of room to make any useful adjustments and still get sharp shots. With the shots on Lightroom the first five appear to have an identical exposure, the next three are each about half a stop darker than the one before. But that’s most likely to be the camera having difficulty assessing such a dark image.Looking at the exposure information I’ll list the difference in exposure (in thirds of a stop) between each image. This should be exactly one stop if the markings on the ND filter are accurate and usable.2/3, 2/3, 1/3, 2/3,1/3, 2/3, 2/3 stops. That’s a 4 stop range, and while I still had two white spots of filter adjustment left that may have given me a stop and a bit at most. This is seriously short of the 9-stop range claimed for this filter.I found this hard to believe since the claim was a 9 stop range. So I grabbed my hand held Sekonic L-308X light meter went out and measured again. I got a 5 stop difference between the Max mark on the filter and the Min mark. I can’t say my tests are scientifically accurate, but they certainly emulate real world use which, to my mind, is what’s important. The filter itself is perfectly good, no colour fringing or vignetting, though my test was done in bright overcast conditions. It seems well built. Goes on and off the lens with ease. The adjustment ring is a little on the loose side for my taste. I can see it being moved unintentionally after set up.So If you want what might just be a 5 stop ND filter that’s pretending to be a 9 stop ND filter I’m happy to recommend it.Just one other thing. With the filter in place it is no longer possible to attach either a lens cap or a lens hood.

Avoid at all cost
Horrific cross vignette - photos are out of focus, all in all a terrible filter of poor quality. I have used across three lenses and it’s the same. Don’t waste your money.

Gives you a blurry image
The final image produced when using this ND Filter is a blurry, almost dream like effect, if that's the kind of look you want then fair enough but the image quality is really poor

Heavy silhuette on mid to max
Do not stack. It's not beneficial as it gives heavy silhuette on mid to max adjustment. If I had known I would have chosen a different model, as you can't add to another filter even if it's slim. Alone, it's ok. The ease of use is great. Wish they would offer a polarised version also.

Defected lens or human error?
Not really feeling this lens. I was hoping to play around on the beach today & snap some pictures of the sunset & smooth waves but instead ended up with a lot of vignetting around all corners as well as a ghostly X in the middle. Maybe it was because I was shooting with a wide lens (canon rf 16 2.8 on a 6rii). Also my lens cap doesn’t fit properly as it would on another filter. The cap kept slipping off in my bag. It is a 43 mm filter. I will more than likely return. Maybe it’s defect or human error. Some pics posted

Has X cross
I like the fact that there are multiple stops so you can carry less things with you however, there's no hard stop on it so you will get a cross on your images.
