I got this mat to stop my dog from sleeping on a couch, hoping it would make it uncomfortable. It is very stiff and doesn't lay flat; keeps rolling back into a tube. But that is not the worst part. It is like a bed of nails. I accidentally leaned on it and pierced my palm of hand. I can't imagine what an animal would go through if jumped up on this thing! It's going in a garbage. I do not recommend this product.

My cats at first would not walk on this. Then they started walking on this little by little. They don't like it. But they will walk on it and still pee in the area even when I spent hours cleaning it up with cat urine destroyer.

I put out a few peanuts to attract birds--crows get to be quite friendly, but the peanuts also attract squirrels that dig holes and disrupt pansies or other patio pots. I cut small bits to go into pots around plants. I also think I can use this product as a mat to deter hens from going to spots I want to protect. In the winter when plants die I don't mind if the hens dig in some flower beds, however they make a mess other places that I'd like to keep them out of. Mats will do that I think.
