The big wins here are that it keeps your curls touchably soft and bouncy while actually knocking out frizz, it's totally vegan and cruelty-free, and it smells amazing—literally like a fresh lemon cake. That said, it definitely has a few quirks: the scent is super sweet and strong, so if you're sensitive to heavy fragrances, it might be a lot. It also provides a pretty soft hold, meaning tighter curl patterns will probably need to layer it with a gel or mousse to keep things from getting frizzy by midday, and you might find yourself burning through the tube faster since the formula is a bit on the lighter side.

I like the conditioner and the leave in, they both smell great and provide adequate moisture. It could be a little more moisturizing for me. What I don’t like is the shampoo. It cleanses fine, but it smells weirdly like stale cigarettes miked with cake. I grosses me out too much to use.

This smells horrible. Its supposed to be a lemon cookie scent, but it smells nothing like that. I cannot even describe the scent. I used the shampoo, conditioner and also the gel to foam today. All smell bad. However, my curls did turn out better today. I am still working on my curly routine including products and best styling techniques. I have fine wavy/curly hair. The shampoo and conditioner worked well. The gel to foam didn't leave my hair sticky and gave nice curls. I will keep using to see if it works, but the smell may hinder that.

Ok. So I have been using these, along with their separately purchased leave in conditioner, for a month now. I have type 2B-2C, medium course, fairly thick, no dyes/no heat styling, naturally gray(but it is actually blonde, who knew?), 60 year old, Irish girl wavy/curly hair. My honest review: it smells nice, but not overpowering and it doesn't hang around all day. It feels nice on your hair and rinses clean. The conditioner is pretty good at doing the job. The curl cream is good, but don't over-do it, especially if you also used a leave-in conditioner first. A little goes a long way if you apply to appropriately wet hair and brush it through well. My hair is left feeling soft, not weighed down, not frizzy, and managable. I will be buying this again and I would recommend it to family and friends. And, I actually love the leave-in conditioner and will be using it exclusively, even if I use other shampoo/conditioners.

I purchased this product line hoping after reading most of the reviews it would be great. I got the package and it had leaked all over everything in the box. I thought it smelled a little on the weird and herbal side. Used it and felt it had great slip, and seemed like it did a good job of keeping the frizz down and defining the curls, but... that smell was a bit more beyond herbal and I felt it was just not worth it to move forward. All three products had the herbal bad garden smell. I thought maybe with my sensitive nose my daughter would like it. She told me she had tried it, and it is supposed to smell like frosting. Ok if that is true that is some really off frosting and I suggest you run far far away. She also said she had her products go smelly as well, and it was like a rotten weed smell. I let the stuff sit at the edge of the tub for a week and told myself maybe I am just too sensitive, picked up took a smell and for sure it was much much worse. I will not purchase this product again. I would not suggest it to anyone, if it is unstable enough to go bad like that it is a sign it is not good for anyone. I was really hoping it would be good, but no.

Poor packaging! Just wrapped in a plastic bag and it leaked everywhere. I can't get a refund without returning the whole bundle. Half my shampoo leaked and the other 2 bottles are fine. The product is great! I have very thin naturally curly hair and it gives me a nice fluffy curl.

WHAT!?!??? WOW!!!! I was wanting to buy this product for a while now but I kept putting it off because I have so many others. I should have bought this way earlier but I'm glad I bought it now and this is my now go to curl shampoo and conditioner. It smells absolutely amazing and the smell stays in the hair. It looks pretty which doesn't really matter but it looks good. Wanted to just try the shampoo and conditioner with no product and no routine to see what it did to my hair and how it felt. I have wavy curly hair and I can't even believe what just the shampoo and conditioner did to my hair with no routine or product. I have ringlets I literally brushed my hair once and let it air dry and my hair is Curly and wavy and soft and beautiful and this is the most my hair has ever curled like this. BUY BUY BUY!!! 10/10 Highly recommend

Now I don't have curly hair, but I do have some natural wave and wanted to see if this would give it a boost and boy did it. Shampoo lathers well, conditioner be cautious on how much you use a little goes a long way, and the curl defining same thing a little goes a long way. I just let my hair air dry, and i get some good wave action, way more than without it. My only thing is the smell, not a fan of the "lemon cookie" scent. It doesn't smell like lemon or cookie....whoever made up the scent might want to get their nose checked!!

I was really excited to try these products because of the description and high rating, sadly I was a little disappointed. While the set did help my curls look defined, it doesn't seem to help with keeping my hair detangled or shiny looking. The scent put me off quite a bit as well. You can definitely tell the scent is lemon, but it doesn't smell natural/fresh at all. The smell of specifically the shampoo and conditioner is quite overwhelming for me, and I'm someone who doesn't mind the smell of a bath and body works haha. Overall I would say the shampoo + conditioner + curl cream set is okay. The best part of the set for me is definitely the curl cream. It worked well with my leave in conditioner, and didn't have the same smell as the shampoo and conditioner. Personally I feel like the coconut and hibiscus line from shea moisture does everything this set is trying to do but better. It was nice to try, but I probably won't buy it again.
