want to use for daily kitchen-cleanup; will these cloths resist yucky 'wet' smell after being wet/dry after several uses a day?

Mine absolutely stink within a week even though I clean them daily and let them hang dry. I used some cheaper brand before and never had a problem. Wish I could remember where I got them. These are going to be relegated to expensive dust cloths.

other cloths say you can't use fabric softener with them. can you use it with these? I'd hate to have to wash them separately

Because of the concerns of chemicals in fabric softeners, I use only the dryer balls now in the dryer for everything. However, I still don't put these in the dryer because of the manufacturer's instructions that say they pick up lint from other fabrics which make them less effective.

Can these be used to dry off a car and not leave streaks or lint behind.
