This is a beautiful, sturdy and well made journal cover. I am using it with my Sterling Ink Common Planner and it fits perfectly. The stitching is really sturdy and the leather of good quality. This will last many many years and get more beautiful with age. I will definitely be buying more sizes! Oh and the price cannot be beat, totally worth every penny!

'Tis a brown leather journal cover. There aren't many frills to be expected, but it's well executed. Stitching is complete and thorough, the pen slot is large enough to hold an actual pen, and there's a slot on the back side for a filler that includes the elastic page separator. Fillers are not included, nor advertised, so don't be disappointed when it's just a leather book cover. It fits an A5 journal refill just fine; I added a 200 page book refill and it fits fine.

I ordered this for my Leuchtturm1917 a5 hard cover journal . The fit is perfect. The cover makes my journal easier to hold , and to write . The pen loop is a great add on. I use it for my bulky fountain pen and it holds . So far . However , the smell is bad . May be , it will fade over time. The package delivery was not good, since it was delivered with the original plastic packaging to my home . It was not even inside Amazon’s delivery box or packaging. So, it has lot of scratches on the outside . Im assuming , it will fade away in time with the patina ( taking one start away) 🤞🏾. Overall , its a good buy for the journal .

OK everyone. Get over the pen loop. We get it. Some pens work. Others don’t. I choose to think it’s meant for an everyday writing pen and not your favorite fountain pen. I use the Pentel Arts Hybrid Technical. The other options are: larger loop? Then some pens may fall out. Elastic loop? Yes, but it’ll eventually stretch out. Upon opening my package, the first observations were the quality appearance & the smell of the leather. I couldn’t get enough! Please note: I’m a part of the journaling community. My other covers are from Galen Leather, Midori Goat Skin and Moterm. They all have +/-‘s. Again, I love this cover but it’s a tight squeeze to get a hardcover Leuchtturm a5 in. We don’t just write everyday. We use tapes, stickers, add photos. By year end, the journal is much thicker. Will the leather stretch? Not going there. I have quite a collection of new journals so I played around. The softcover A5’s fit best; preferably the Rhodia (80 sheets/160 pgs) they also have the elastic band making this cover perfect. There’s about a 1/4” difference in thickness between soft & hard covers. See included photo for reference. All said - I love this cover.

Pretty good cover I’ve bought this cover specifically for mu midori A5 journal and it fits perfectly, the leather is beautifully handcrafted and everything seems pretty good.

I LOVE this cover... I honestly wasn't using it correctly for the longest time... I now use it simply to hold my collection of Wotion Notebook Journals... 2 of these fit into the side pockets.. for me, this is the perfect setup... I also put an elastic on the back cover of the Journal so it slides through the leather cover - and now everything is kept closed and tidy... my favorite pens attached to the Journal spine and are kept securely INSIDE and fully protected... for me - this is the way. I don't need it to do EVERYTHING... a 180 Page Hard Cover Journal, for example, is too big for my taste. Populating it with the refills is the sweet spot, IMO. Other than that, I fold up my meeting notes, boarding passes, passports, or anything else that i'll be needing in the short term lay safely inside... and ready for easy access... until I'm ready to return them to their proper storage in another location.. this little thing is my "working" folio for items I've just received or for items that I'll soon need... it's not a permanant home for anything... for me, it's awesome. Love the smell, the look, the functionality - I'll be buying them for my Sons when they're old enough.

This thing has been great. I've had it for about a year and it's held up very well. It does exactly what it's supposed to. Looks great! It's not fraying on the edges. I'm looking at more of their products so yes I would buy this again

**UPDATE 5-13-26** After almost a year with this cover, I have changed from 4 stars to 5. I love it. I did remove the leather pen loop and sew in an elastic one. I also switched to a soft cover notebook this last refill and I like it more than the hard cover. So yeah….carry on. So all in all, this thing is great. As with all of the H&D items I have, it is high quality! It will take some breaking in. And that pen loop? That little guy? Yeah….don't worry about that little guy. I stuffed a fairly thick pen in it and worked it in and out, (that’s what she s….never mind), and it’s just fine. The biggest downfall is one of the features I bought it for. The opening for the elastic closure can stick up causing the notebook to hit it and exaggerate the sticking up. As well as hinder the closing of the thing. And when folks say this thing smells like the inside of a fine boot shop….YEAH. Look. Just buy it. Okay? Okay. That is all.

It's exactly what I hoped it would be. The leather is excellent quality, and should last many decades. The pen holder works really well.

This is definitely a great buy for your A5 notebook. The handmade leather looks beautiful and has this wonderful soft feel. My Bastion Slim Bolt Action pen sits perfectly in the pen holder.

So wie ich die Schutzhüllen (A5 und A6) mir vorgestellt habe! Top Leder, Handarbeit und sogar ein Kärtchen mit dem Namen der Person, die diese Hülle hergestellt hat. Offensichtlich per Hand verpackt und schnell aus Amerika (Herstellungsort Mexico!) geliefert. Die Hüllen würde ich wieder kaufen, allerdings bei der Qualität werde ich die wohl überleben 😎

It is perfect. Just the right thickness, wonderful feel when I pick it up. My Uni-ball gel pen fits in the pen holder very nicely. It is a very good value for the price. I can see I will use this forever.
