Fun, thoughtful (and reusable!)
I always like to get some kind of Advent calendar each year, often opting for a sweets-filled one, and in my searching this year, this one popped up, and I think it's such fun! It came with a hand-written note, and it appears to be reusable, year to year, so I look forward to using it (or paying it forward) again next year. We should practice mindfulness throughout the year, but with the added stress, anxiety, and distraction that this time of year brings, having a calendar that provides a daily dose of mindfulness during the Advent season is a lovely way to recenter yourself amid the chaos of the holidays. An excellent purchase!

Duplicate cards
I love this idea and there are some magical ideas in the jar!! But, some of the cards are duplicates. Which is a good reminder to continue working on certain skills but it was a little disappointing to not have 24 different activities.

Cute idea, good gift, reusable
I bought this for a friend who is always looking for self-care ideas. This calendar is a set of cards with suggestions, you can select a different one each day. The cards are sturdy enough to survive a second use. The container is a simple jar with a covering. It might be a little expensive for what it is.

Lovely
This came beautifully packaged and even included a card from the person who packed it. We love it and the concept. Unfortunately there aren’t different mindfulness notes for each day. So far several are repeats from previous days which takes the excitement and joy out of pulling from the jar each day to see what wonderful, inspiring and insightful selection we will encounter. We are enjoying the experience but are coming up with our on the repeat days.

Pretty lackluster mindfulness exercises, but very cute otherwise.
This is a very cute advent calendar, but the days are not numbered (I just started from the middle) and the exercises themselves aren't anything special and are kind of disappointing. I wish they were better thought out or the instructions were better written and more concrete or something? A reminder to take time for myself, or smell things, isn't much fun. I suppose I'd been hoping for, like, meditation prompts, or journaling, or something I could actually DO instead of just being reminded to think of certain things throughout the day. It's only been three days, though, so maybe it'll improve.Update: two days had more instruction-y items. Some items have been duplicates.

Disappointed there were a lot of duplicates.
I really love the overall concept of this and got it for a gift for a friend. I opened it to check it out. There is no description card (if you’re giving as a gift- doesn’t say what to do with it). I looked through some of the 24 messages and there were at least 5 of them repeated - and not things that make sense to repeat like wrap your presents or write your holiday cards. Each note is well written and has good ideas to make everyday holiday tasks more meaningful but overall I was very disappointed in the quality of this product.

Great for yourself or a gift - use all year!
I ordered this last year for myself and loved it so much I got two more this year to send to friends. The theme is mindfulness and there are lots of good activities that help you to stay ‘mindful’ throughout Advent - or for use all year as a ‘pick one’ jar when you need a pick-me-up.

Disappointed
The best part of this Advent calendar is the packaging. I love the box and it is on my desk holding scrap paper at work. The pages aren't numbered in any way so you can just grab one at random. That's convenient but without dates I'm not sure you can call this a calendar. Perhaps if they were numbered, the ones that have to do with Christmas preparations, like decorate your home mindfully, would be at the beginning of the activity. Some of the artwork is delightful and then there are several that look amazingly similar to each other with just a few details changed. They are gently rolled/folded to fit in the jar. I guess you could flatten them somehow to display after you read them so you can keep track of which ones you have completed. One of the random ones I chose says "In a few days you will be given presents by your loved ones..." This is making a huge assumption ...If you are looking for a meaningful advent activity... don't choose this unless you are looking for a cute box to reuse.
