Brilliant.
Fast delivery via amazon prime, the HP Smart Tank 7605 All in One Printer is very well made, setup instructions are straight forward, ink capacity is brilliant, functionality is very good, noise level is low, wireless connectivity is simple to set up and strong, the ink filling is very easy and effortless, print quality is excellent, printing speed is more the adequate, looks very pleasant on the eye, this is my 2nd HP printer and I must say so far its a masive improvement, the new type of ink refilling is so much better and easier than the old type; This is a brilliant unit.

Finally broke up with ink subscriptions — and I’m not looking back!
After months (years?!) of feeling trapped in a monthly ink subscription cycle — just to keep up with homework printouts, and the occasional return label — I finally made the switch to an eco tank printer. Enter the HP Smart Tank 7305.I’ll admit, it felt like a bit of a splurge upfront, but it’s already paying off after some decent discounts. The ink tanks are generous — and I love knowing I can print what we need without worrying if I’m about to run out of cyan mid-maths worksheet or hit my monthly page limit.Set-up was genuinely easy (not always a given with printers). It connected to our WiFi straight away, and the HP Smart app walks you through everything — even topping up the ink is clean and simple. The automatic double-sided printing is one of those underrated features you don’t know you need until you have it. No flipping pages, no wasted paper, no guessing which way is up.For a family household with regular printing needs (and a desire to escape subscription fatigue), this has been a total win. Quiet, reliable, and feels like it’ll last. Highly recommend.

Great printer, not intuitive to set up
Far from being an easy setup, this was frustrating. The supplied booklet was close to useless. Whatever I did, I had to use the HP Smart app, something I learned to loathe with my previous printer (I kept that one less than 5 months). However, after two frustrating hours, I finally managed to get this printer to work and I was joyous when the output was perfect, images, text and duplex printing, all smooth and effective. The scanner works well, does what it should both for electronic storage and physical duplication of documents.I have been using printers of many types and sizes both during my working life, including working from home for 20 years of that, and now in my retirement. I have always found them problematic. When I was working in the NHS, the giant printers they had were almost always breaking down and having problems. One day someone will create a printer with intuitive software for installation and usage. This is close, shame about HP Smart which is far from helpful. One problem with this is that HP Smart kept trying to get me to use the "instant ink" option. It presumably thought all HP printers would work with this. Each time I tried the app told me that this printer was not compatible with instant ink and then the next time I opened the HP Smart app, it tried to get me to subscribe again. Don't bother, get a suitable ink subscription with Amazon instead. It's much easier and less hassle anyway. With this printer, you can see the ink levels clearly, black on the left and the colours on the right so you know when you need more ink. We all have varied uses of printers and you'll soon work out when you need to order more. I just adjust my subscription, bring it forward a month or delay it a month, depending on what I need as I did with my old Canon until it died of old age. I love the ink bottles with this model which are easy to use, plugging them into the individual tanks to fill them up as required. The ink is then fed to the print heads automatically.

Constantly Hangs with Apple Laptop and Tablet
This scanner/printer is not easy to set up although they have tried to be as practical as possible but there’s a lot of bits of cardboard and sticky back plastic to remove and potentially forget to remove, which can cause difficulty. As seems to be the way these days, instructions are online which is a faff and there’s not much help in unpacking the printer etc. in it. It was easy to connect to the internet. The app for using it is useless: it’s clumsy and it’s difficult to access files from your Apple iCloud using Apple iOS. Fortunately apple allows direct printing from Word, Pages, Excel and photos etc. without the need for the app. I must stress how poor this app is; it is really bad for a company as large as HP.The quality of printed photos on Photo Glossy paper is good but not of a professional level.Printing documents is very slow which necessitates the need to change from the default ‘Normal’ setting to ‘Draft’ quality with is a pain to have to do.The printer often jams, its the worst I have known over the last three printers we have had. I know this is often a ‘user error’ but it shouldn’t have to be that complicated for an average user to get it right. The best thing about it is the cost of ink and its very low usage of ink which makes up for a lot of the above. This was a Which best buy (which again leads me to question Which’s reviews, which is another story)!?I would not recommend it.## UPDATE##Further to the above, the printer is consistently failing to print from MacBook Air and iPad. Switching the printer on and off appears the only way to get it to print. Therefore I would definitely not recommend this printer.
