This is easily the best printer I’ve owned. The refillable ink tank saves a huge amount of money compared with traditional cartridges, and the ink seems to last forever. Print quality is sharp, setup was simple, and it works reliably every time. For anyone who prints regularly, this printer pays for itself. I genuinely recommend it to friends and family – everyone should have one.

Printer was easy to set up using the HP app via my phone, I connected the printer by USB to my PC, both Bluetooth and direct printing worked immediately with no problems. The scanner was then set up and self calibrated with no issues. Filling the ink tanks during the app set up was very eary and with absoluley no mess. Although I found the diagram to open the printer tanks unclear, it was soon obvious when looking at the printer itself. The ink supplied fully fills all the tank, with a bottle of black to spare. I have printed documents in both B&W and colour and the prints were very sharp and clear (used premium quailty paper). I aslo printed a photo from my phone onto plain A4 paper as a test, turns out it would be good enough to frame and display at home. Overal I am very pleased with this all in one printer for general home use. I am aware that all bluetooth printing is via the HP cloud servers, but personally I have no issue with that. In operation as long as the printer is on firm solid base it quiet and stable when printing.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I bought this printer as I require a lot of printing and cartridges cost a fortune, got it and set it up which was seamless, It worked well and printed well for a a little over three weeks, about 100-150 documents were printed. Then it stopped working and the pain began. it flashed up with printhead failure, saying that both printheads had failed. I went through HP self service and followed their suggested actions to the word, from firmly pushing on them to ensure the were correctly seated, resetting the printer, attempting to align the printheads (the app is AWFUL by the way, i had to uninstall and reinstall it every time I went onto the print quality tools section), Nothing solved it. I contacted the tech service via WhatsApp at approximately 3pm, over the course of the following 3 hours they intermitted-ley replied stating the same options I had already gone through, then requiring pictures multiple times, until eventually their shift ended (I suspect this was the desired goal) and they could end the chat, I received an email the following business day stating the case was closed. I rang the tech support this time, once I had finally gotten through their infernal AI reception system, I spoke to an agent who did try to help, by going through every single one of the before mentioned steps to sort the problem, multiple times being placed on hold, videos of the printer, and difficulty in communication later, the agent finally said they'd order a replacement set of printer heads. A full week later I had a delivery, containing one of the printer-heads (Amazon do them next day, this becomes relevant in a moment), never the less I replaced the one and the fault still showed, rest and attempted use of the app both had the same result. Again, I rang customer service to explain this and enquire as to where the second printhead was. The second print head had not even been processed let alone dispatched. Allegedly there is a logistics issue, so after all of 30 seconds on Amazon I found the same model and ordered the second printhead from them (at a cost of £32.50). The second printhead has arrived today, the fault persists and the printer continues being a squat ugly paper weight. Now able to recite HP services phone number by heart I have called them again, explained all of this for the 5th time in the same amount of weeks, and the agent now assures me they will replace the printer. HOWEVER, first something (this was not clarified or even explained) must happen so they will allegedly contact me in the next 5 business days ( a moment later this extended to next week so as you can imagine, expectations remain low) to explain how they're going to replace it, not send it out, but just explain the process of replacing it.... I asked about returning it or obtaining a refund to be told I would have to go to the supplier, to which Amazon have said I have to contact HP, yet another game of pass the parcel. I do not leave reviews often, perhaps 5 in the last 7-8 years, but this absolute shambles of a performance has left me with no printer (the effect of which is being felt in business ability) out over £200 for the printer and £30 for the print head, and a rising cost of using print shops and undoubtedly having to buy a different printer, along with what appears to be no sign of recouping any loses what so ever. I implore you to avoid this product, and quite frankly HP entirely, This has been one of the worst product interactions I've yet to have.

The printer itself deserves 5 stars. It’s very efficient, fast and gives excellent results. The ink tanks are easy to fill and tremendous value for money. It’s a neat, small and attractive object in my office space. However, first you have to set it up and that’s no mean feat. I have always bought HP printers and I have an HP computer so you would think it would be a shoe-in. Not so. I found the explanations unbelievably woolly and the process unnecessarily complicated. After many unsuccessful attempts to link it to my computer, it eventually worked but I have no idea why. However, if you can get past that problem, I would recommend that printer.

So far so good; I managed to set up this printer reasonably quickly but I had to use AI to help me with the steps as the instructions are unfortunately rather hopeless. But, with a bit of patience, it all fell into place and the printer is working beautifully, printing on both sides and the print quality is good. Overall, thumbs up and I am pleased to have moved away from buying expensive cartridges for my old Canon inkjet printer which has now been quietly retired. I am happy with this purchase. Review update (a few months down the line): I would like to add that this printer is simply unbelievably good. It is reliable and the ink lasts and lasts. I am so so happy with it so I am sharing it as a review add-on.

Great print. My son used it for his GCSEs. He printed out tons of past papers for revision, we went through about 6-7 reams of paper, and the ink still hasn’t run out. Would highly recommend it. I can print from my phone directly using the WiFi mode. Have not tasted the photos in this though, as we print documents, primarily.

Delivered today as advised. Appears quite well made. Setup guide comprehensive but would suggest using the app. Straight forward setup. One thing to watch. The black tank indicates full after only half the black ink bottle is used. If it’s removed at this stage there will be an error light flashing and you will be unable to proceed. Easily fixed. Print quality is good , print speed fine not fast but I’m in no hurry. So far I’m satisfied with the quality price and performance.

I purchased this printer in June 2023. To begin will all went well until this year 2026 when after HP did numerous updates the printer has had non stop issues , the majority of which have been software related. For example, to copy there are two buttons one for colour and one black & white. A quick press used to be all that was needed. Neither now works. Wireless connectivity is highly unstable and yet nothing has changed. I ran the "repair and diagnose" option on the app. After 25 minutes of watching a bar go back and forwards, it stated, "unable to find printer" seriously it needed 25 minutes to tell me that. I performed a total uninstall and reset and for about two weeks is was fine, no issues at all. Then it started again to have connectivity and system issues. I wish I had turned off "automatically update the printer" as I think that, that is the problem. The same applies to the mobile printer app. Non stop useless updates, stating "bug fixes". After 20 years there should no longer be an bugs in a simple printer app! So frustrating as when it does work, it all works well, but so much wasted time is spent trying to get it to work.

Parfait ! 1 an après l'achat, l'imprimante HP Smart tank 7005 fonctionne toujours parfaitement et je n'ai toujours pas eu à remplir les encres. Elle est silencieuse, imprime tous les documents rapidement que ce soit depuis mon MacBook ou mon smartphone. J'apprécie le recto verso et les réservoirs d'encre sont une véritable économie à l'année pour les personnes qui comme moi impriment des documents quotidiennement. Un peu déçue par contre pour l'impression des photos. Mais c'est un très bon achat

Ein wirklich guter Drucker, der mit den bei uns zuletzt verwendeten Farblaserdruckern problemlos mithalten kann. Installation ging schnell und einfach. Druckergebnisse, Kosten und die Nachhaltigkeit (u.a. durch die Tintentanks) sind super. Wir können diesen Drucker daher ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

La impresora funciona muy bien, los cabezales de impresión reemplazables son una garantía adicional para la durabilidad a largo plazo. Velocidad de impresión En cuanto a la velocidad de impresión en las pruebas que he hecho nos ha sacado unas 15 páginas por minuto en negro y sobre las 9 ppm en color. Su impresión a doble cara de forma automática también es muy rápida y ahorra papel. Su ciclo de trabajo mensual es de 5000 páginas. Conclusión Mi experiencia y mi valoración son muy positivas, estoy muy contenta con la impresora. Es muy efectiva, imprime, copia y escanea con calidad y la relación calidad y precio es excelente. La recarga del tóner es también algo que me gusta mucho por rapidez pero sobre todo por limpieza. Además su diseño no desentona con los elementos de decoración.
