Marlux 3-7/8-Inch Nutmeg Mill, Beech Wood with Crank, Natural

Yes, this is a unitasker, but it's worth it! For some reason ground nutmeg loses it's flavor faster than other spices, so I much prefer being able to freshly grind nutmeg. I've had this Marlux brand/model for thirty years and recently searched it out to buy one for my daughter. This grinder is much easier on your hands than a hand nutmeg grater.

Well built and attractive. Will last many years. Stainless steel and beechwood.

I chose this mill because I was curious to see how it works after always using the normal grater or buying the ready ground stuff. Well after using this mill I wish I had one long time before. Now I wouldn't use anything else as you are using fresh nutmeg, but also the quaintness of the mill itself has guests intrigued. I love it

This nutmet grinder does not work as well as my old acrylic nutmeg grinder which after many years of use finally cracked. This wood grinder was much more expensive and much nicer-looking (than the acrylic grinder), but it simply DOESN"T WORK AS WELL.-This grinder grinds quickly but...it oftentimesspits out LARGER PIECES that must be sorted out.-Yoiu have to "sift through" and remove the larger grinded pieces before using the nutmeg power after using the grinder.-I was sorely disappointed but at the time needed a grinder for upcoming dinners so I went ahead and used it. I didn't return it because I used it more than just once.- When I was looking for a new grinder, I found very few options in the marketplace for nutmeg grinders with a handle like this one.

of the nutmeg grinder i tried, this one had the best and most logical ergonomic shape, but the grinding mechanism is terrible and the pieces are large that come out. they need to redesign and make their blade mechanism like the Westmark Germany Handheld Nutmeg Mill Grinder. that is the one i kept although i hate the shape of the Westmark Germany Handheld Nutmeg Mill Grinder.

This was a gift, but I've had mine for years. It's very well made.

I chose this nutmeg mill because if is the nearest to the excellent one my Mum bought me years ago. After 25 years service I had worn it out. The next 2 that I bought were useless. I was about to write a review for this one along the same lines when it crumbled the first and second nutmeg I tested it on. I tried one more and it was perfect. It works really well on good nuts and imcreally pleased with it. Which is more than can be said for the quality of whole nutmegs it seems.
