I invest a lot of money into my computer builds, and that means not just using a battery backup and surge protection, but completely disconnecting everything during thunderstorms. I don't just unplug the UPS and power strip for my PC and all peripherals, but I also disconnect the coax cables going to my modem and to my TV and stereo.When I am woken up by a thunderstorm at 3AM, I want to be able to pull my coax connections apart in a split second... not stand there fumbling around with the cable ends trying to unscrew them while half-asleep. These quick connect ends make that possible. When the cables are connected, I notice no loss in signal or bandwidth.

I purchased this to use with a cable modem that I disconnect from the coaxial cable line on a daily basis. I didn't want the internal connection on the modem to go bad from the frequent connect/disconnects so this works great for that purpose. No need to screw/unscrew each time, it's just plug and play. I use a short 1.5 ft cable permanently connected to the modem and have this screwed to the other end then there's a double ended joiner that goes inbetween the main cable line and the short custom extension on the modem. What that means is the only connector that will get worn over time is this quick connect adapter which could be replaced with a new one for only a few dollars. The modem connector and the main cable line connector does not get worn. I'll update this review with a picture of my setup.

A good quick connect adapter for connecting a small television antenna to my Pioneer receiver. I do not know why they started putting these types of connectors on the receiver without providing an adapter. They could have just left the old style push terminals for most people.The adapter is very tight to push to the receiver, (which is why I took off one star,) but I just leave it on there and screw the coaxial from my antenna on and off of the connector if I need to. It is pretty easy to do.

Now that Radio Shack is out of business and hardware stores also do not stock these parts, I had all but given up on finding any. I use them on the coaxial cables that connect my RV's television to cable/satellite systems in RV campgrounds. Our TV gets connected and disconnected each time we visit a different campground. These small items make life much easier than bending down to screw in a cable in a small, often dimly-lit area. They fit tightly enough to have a solid connection, but easy enough to remove when we are ready to move on. Thanks!

Purchased this quick connect adaptor to make attaching and detaching an external antenna coax cable to our small portable digital TV easier to manage. This adaptor has greatly simiplified that purpose. The antenna cable is now easy to attach and remove. Without the adaptor, it was difficult to do so because the TV's built in connector was recessed making the coax antenna cable difficuilt to tighten or losen by hand. Initially, the adaptor has provided a solid connection and strong antenna signal. What remains to be be seen is whether the push on pull off end of the connector will maintain a tight connection over time. Otherwise, this appears to be a well built substantial item and at a modest cost.

For whatever reason, it seems like we have to re-boot our internet service about once a month. That involves unplugging the modem and router from power and disconnecting the cable. Unscrewing the nut that held the cable on and then screwing it back on a few minutes later was a chore, especially with my big mitts. With this adapter, I can merely pull the cable off the box and then push it back on, no messing with the little nut. Little things like this that make my life easier make me smile, and I like this a lot.

Hard to find at a local store.Overall these are very difficult to find and Amazon was the only place I could find it. I think it's overpriced but still wanted it. I use this on a tv I put outside in the summer for baseball games so I'm always plugging in and unplugging the coaxial cable. This makes it a lot more convenient. The metal did start to rust after a few months. Not bad rust but I'm not sure how long it will last.

These do exactly what they were intended to. I just wish the quick detach part had a little more spring pressure to it.

Works great with my Pioneer Home Theater FM reciever. Connects to reciever and rg6 coaxial cable.
