Q: Why reseller kit costs cheaper than "only drive"?

Reseller kits are aimed at the consumer market which is more sensitive to price. Drive only kits are aimed at corporates where fancy packaging and price don't matter.

Q: Has anyone installed this on a mid-2009 Macbook pro with a NVIDIA chipset? I read the 530 model does not work well with this type of chipset.

It works because it is a data. If your computer support data it shouldn't be a problem

This is my best guess but it seems that you would have to purchase an mSATA SSD. I don't think that you would have the space to accommodate the Intel 730 Series 2.5-Inch SSD. You could power off your x230i, remove the battery, and open the upgrade panel and see what your current HDD physical dimensions are.

No these drivers will absolutely not work with a 15 inch MacBook Pro! The previous comments were written in 2014, so when the comments were written they were absolutely correct. Since then just about every company from razor to Microsoft to Apple Solders most of their normally swap on the parts straight to the motherboard so there’s no swapping parts yourself anymore with a MacBook.hh no these drivers will absolutely not work with the 15 inch MacBook Pro!
