A great collection of tracks
Most tracks have an R&B flavor to them. They have a feel good and soothing effect to the ears and others great rhythms, vocals and backgrounds.Tracks such as Touch of My Hand, Breathe on Me, Brave New Girl, Every time are really soothing with a soft, feel good effect to it. Sometimes I feel as I am swimming inside water when I listen to it.Shadow is one of my favorites and I am glued to the speakers every time I listen to it. It has got a mesmerizing blend of Britney's unique heart touching vocals, the backgrounds etc.Toxic, Me Against the Music, Showdown are upbeat songs with great rhythm, beats, background, powerful vocals. Boom boom has good rapping also. In all, the combination of all these tracks create a unique distinctive flavor to this CD.

Best Britney album yet
I was not even born when this album was released and it is still my favourite Britney album. This album holds a special place in Britney and Britney fan's hearts because it was the first ever album to get Britney a Grammy (for toxic) and if this album did not go to number 1 Britnry would not have been the first ever female singer to have her first 4 albums go straight to number 1. This was also the album that introduced us to a more confident, grownup Britney. In my opinion this album, in the zone released in 2003 is Britney's number 1 album. My favourite songs are as follows. Me against the music, I got that boom boom, showdown, breathe on me, toxic, touch of my hand, shadow, everytime, brave new girl, the hook up, don't hang up, outrageous. Due this being a fantastic album, there are only three songs that don't make onto the songs list.Early mornin: for this song I feel like it slows down the album a bit and the beat is very repetitive and a bit boring and her vocals don't sound very healthy.Me against the music Rishi Rich's desi kulcha remix: I feel like the tune in the background ruins the song a bit and I don't like how they edited her voice. I don't feel like the remix will do good for the song. The answer: the lyrics in the song are just repeated over and over again and the beat is boringHer first three albums were amazing but this beats them.LiamAge 10

2-for-1 bargain of Britney at her very best
I remember when Britney Spears released "Slave 4 U" in 2001: I saw the video for the first time and said to my brother, "What happened to Britney?" I was taken aback by the sexy video and the new sound, so different from "Oops... I Did it Again" or "Stronger." I was only 11 years old at the time, and Britney was my idol and role model. Although the change had me a little confused at first, I soon accepted it and embraced it. "Britney" is the album that brings back the most memories for me; coming home from school, playing "Britney" on loop, watching her videos over and over. My brother told me the meaning of "Overprotected," as he had with "Lucky." He knew that Britney was referring to herself in "Lucky" as the girl who had it all but still cried at night, and he understood that "Overprotected" was about wanting to free herself from the restraints her managers forced upon her and the criticisms she received from the press. I see now that he saw the signs early on, whereas I was too young and too awe-struck to realize the truths. I adored Britney and I wanted to believe she was happy. When she announced on her website that she was taking a six month break, I was upset, but wanted Britney to be well. It did not really occur to me that Britney might have been breaking under all the pressure. I was young, and I saw her as an idol, not an imperfect person.By the time Britney released "In The Zone," I had moved on to other music genres, as do most 13 year olds. Although I reacted to her videos for "Toxic" and "Everytime" positively, I had left Britney behind for the most part. Now that I'm older, I can accept that it is perfectly normal to enjoy a wide range of genres, something that secondary school and university would have you not believe. I'm sad that I missed this era until 2006 when I stopped caring about labels and decided that Britney was, in actual fact, a perfectly acceptable artist to listen to, even if Funeral for a Friend and The Used are among your favourites. "In The Zone" is either tied for first place with "Blackout" as my favourite Britney album, or a very, very close second. With this album, Britney officially shed her innocent image and asserted her womanhood and sexuality. I like to call this "The Sex Album," with the very racy "Breathe On Me," the so-naughty-I-cannot-tell-you-what-it's-about "Touch of My Hand," and the I-had-no-idea-it-was-about-that! "Don't Hang Up."I previously owned both of these albums but I am careless with my things and I have been all my life. CDs are my most abused possession, and go missing in my house frequently, only to turn up 5 years later without the case, scratched and smudged and a little worse for wear. This slipcase includes both "Britney" and "In The Zone" for a much cheaper price than you would pay if you purchased the albums separately. You might not get auto-rip and you might not get the cool pictures in the leaflets, but if you want value for money, I would recommend this. Britney was in her prime in these two eras and it is nice to have them together, classic Britney Spears in one. Now if you could kindly direct me to the "...Baby One More Time" and "Oops... I Did it Again" slipcase, that would be much appreciated.

Britney Spears masterpiece
In The Zone for me enhances what Britney has been capable of.I look back at this superstars career and feel that while her fourth studio album is out of her depth it is more than a major experiment of just how mature and deep Britney can go within the context of her songs.most recently she embarked on her Circus tour which i feel has shown her growth as a performer from performance to performance but it was the performances of the songs from In The Zone that reminded me of just why Britney is an icon of herself as opposed to the career blows she came under between 2005 and 2007 hitting low after low by the paparazzi and personal struggles which caused poor Brit to have a severe nervous breakdown...but that didn't keep our starlet down, she came back with the equally brilliant Blackout album and to this day remains a career masterpiece. however In The Zone is that reflection of what Britney is capable of...she brings forward her roots with fantastic dance grooves, reflects her inspiration with an amazing duet with the queen of pop Madonna and songs with sensational prince style guitar chords then catapulting us into street style songs reminiscent of Bad era king of pop Michael Jackson.it is through this material that we come aware that Britney is more than a force to be reckoned with and more than the teen popstar of Baby One more Time/Oops I Did It Again era. her third studio album Britney started her maturity of what she can handle and how far she can enhance her personality with her music and In The Zone is that all time high all us fans were amazed by boasting worldwide sales of 16 million copies across the globe it remains one of the biggest albums this decade.through her images in the CD leaflet you can see the striking confidence of her image in sensational photographs, and through each song read the production and writers which more than shows her flexibility of genre. this is pre personal crisis, this is the pivotal moment in the music industry and in her whole career to which Blackout more than made up for 4 years after the release of this epic album and is more than in The Zone's counterpart. In The Zone reflects that Ms Spears was willing to sacrifice hit pen writer Max Martin (Overprotected/Stronger/Crazy etc.) to maintain this edge (he has written new hit single 3 released in two weeks as i am writing!)and surprisingly is better for it.In The Zone is more than your average pop genre album, it is a music experiment that Britney really did out do herself on and can only really be matched by her 2007 comeback album Blackout or third self titled studio album BRITNEY and even then it's difficult. In The Zone pushed boundaries and reach acclaim as it did mixed reviews but nevertheless managed to achieve the success many have yearned for.also boasts three musical #1 songs-Me Against The Music, Every time and TOXIC!! each incredible signature songs for the star.overall, nothing can possibly compare to this album, with striking chords (Toxic) heart wrenching ballads (Every time, Shadow) dark R&B (Outrageous, Showdown) hardcore electric (MATM, i Got That Boom Boom!) deep sonic House grooves (Touch Of My Hand, Breathe On Me) punky pop (Brave New Girl) and of course a bit of Moby too (Early Mornin').often immitated yet never bettered, this is a must for lovers of music and early noughties nostalgia.10/10-epic!

"🎵 I want to get in the zone"
This is one of Britney's best albums. I don't know if I can say it's her best album ever, because I'm in doubt between this one or the "Blackout". But on this album you notice a musical ripening and Britney proved to everyone that she is a legend. My favorites songs are: "Shadow", "Toxic", "Everytime" and "Brave New Girl".

but it's good album if/when you want some upbeat pop
I personally only bought this album because I wanted one particular track off it for sentimental reasons, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not being a 'pop' fan as such, I won't be playing it much, but it's good album if/when you want some upbeat pop. Great little bargain, I paid less than 3 quid for it NEW!!! :)
