My son gets a Carhartt coat every year, and wanted the black one instead of tan this year. This coat was exactly what he wanted! Warm, fits well, and looks great! It’s already held up to sledding, school, and working out in the garage.

Honestly, this is the best jacket for boys that are tough on their clothes. It’s warm, durable, highly stain resistant and will be a hand me down for brothers or sisters. Just a great all-around jacket that will stand the test of time. Great value for the money has nice pockets. My son is 43 inches tall and about 47 pounds and it is slightly big. We got a small which should be good for him for a couple years.

My son is 6, but he’s tall for his age, so I got him the size 7/8, so it’ll last him a few years! He wanted one so bad, so i bought him one for Christmas. It was totally cheaper than under armor, and quite frankly the quality far surpasses the more expensive coats. This coat isn’t too thick, but it’s thick enough to be rugged and durable! My kid always burns through coats, but not this time! It fits him a tad baggy, but that’s how i intended it to fit him. Not only did i want him to get more than one season out of it, i wanted him to be able to layer up and still be able to move! It washed nicely, I just line dried it, and then tumble dried it for 10 mins. He loves it, and it keeps him comfortable and warm in this snow we have! He even wore it sled riding with no issue! It kept him nice and warm!

We love Carhartt in my family, it’ll keep my son warm for the colder months. Only issue is sizing. My son is taller and heavier than most boys his age and the recommended size is a bit on the longer side.
