Is the blower on the side or back? Photo shows side but video shows back.

The sleeve for the blower extends out from the side (mine is left side as you look at it) but it is at the back of the side.

Can I use a pipe to get the fan motor away from the screen so we don't hear it running?

Yes. You can use a pipe to get the fan motor away from the Inflatable Movie Screen. As long as the blower is keeping blowing air all the time, it will work.
