Effective tool that is well worth the price!
This device works as described. The fiberglass poles are surprisingly rigid, so even though some reviewers criticize the product as too flexible with several extensions, in my judgment it is reasonably designed to balance the need to minimize weight with stiffness. There are some operational concerns requiring caution:1. Before using, check all fasteners for tightness- some of mine were loose as shipped. I did not receive any written instructions, but everything was there including a nice canvas case.2. When attaching several extensions, it can become very difficult to properly thread additional pole sections without cross-threading. The way to avoid this is to support the unit so there is not any flex causing misalignment. I found this easiest if the pruning hook can be placed over a branch with enough height to allow the addition of sections. Otherwise, carefully laying the unit on the ground can work if care is used.3. When sawing branches, remember to let the weight of the device do the work. The saw blade will cut faster and better if you do this and are patient. This is especially important with many extensions and the poles starting to flex. Adding too much pressure just causes difficulties.4. Most of all, especially when using many extensions or cutting heavier branches, stand as clear as possible. Also, think about how you will move if a branch falls toward you (escape route like loggers use). The other thing to think about is how you will manage the shift of the tool weight to you when the branch goes. It is not that bad if you plan for it.With all that said, I am very happy with the tool. My first cuts were many high branches (15-20 feet high) in a pine tree on a steep hill with poor footing. That all worked better than I thought and paid for the tool over using a tree service. My next cuts were in an ash tree with branches up to about 20 feet above grade. The thickest ash branch I cut was about 6 inches in diameter and very wet. It was a slow, patient cut but worked fine.

The Wobbly Pruner
So having a pruner that extends to 26 feet seems in theory good but impracticable in real life based on this design. The extensions are flexible and once you have 4 or more you end up with a wobbly carving noodle. I was able to cut branches above my two story house reaching 20 feet but once the noodle pruner came down, it went down with me struggling to keep it from slamming the ground. The other thing is the included rope that is way to short. Mine had a spare rope with handle which I remove to extend its reach. Again, once you have this pruner with more than 4 extensions and you attempt to pull on the rope to prune a branch, the darn thing bents like a bow. The branch better be real thin at that altitude otherwise you're not prunning. For the most part, it works ok for branches that are 10 to 12 feet. If you extend it to the max get ready for a circus act.

Good for trimming out of reach. I made counterweight
I live on a hill and need to trim growth in downhill areas that I can't reasonably access. This worked well for me and provided about 20 ft of reach. I used a shopping bag with about 10 lbs of ballast as a counterweight which made handling much easier than some users report. The pole bends at a distance. You might be able to reach higher, but again control becomes the issue. I expect this will extend me a few years between hiring a tree company for a clearing.

OK product for the money
Concerned about overall durability. Had to replace rivets on 2 of the pole sections. Rope for shear needs to be longer.

Lopper does not work well.
The lopper feature works poorly. A metal part that holds the mechanism in place has fallen out multiple times and got lost the last time it fell out rendering the lopper useless. Not well designed. The rope is also too short (but you can add to it, I suppose). The head where the saw is located is heavy, and because of this, you can only add 1 or 2 sections of pole length if you are cutting on any kind of angle but vertical.I reported this lost part but have not heard back from the company. Will likely return this item.

Super light weight for the lenght.
Easy to use, easy assemble and very sharp saw blade.

Poor Quality!
Very poor Quality the Rope has broken 3 times already! Awkward to use to say the least!

Works, but not convenient to use
I have one that slides to change length which is really much better though its not as long as this one is. It works, but your stuck with the length unless you screw on or off one of the rods. I bit of a pain to do as your trimming so I use it only for the very highest branches. Then of course you need to add your own rope as the one they give you isn't long enough, and its a bit wobbly at full length and cumbersome to move around. If you need something this long you don't have a lot of options. This will have to suffice until I find something better.
