Good product and Great Customer Service
This isn't the first time that I have purchased MG996R motors. I had originally bought these motors for my son for Christmas because he is building a robotic arm from parts he 3d printed. The packaging was a little rough but there appears to be no damage to anything inside. These are great motors for the price and I love that this company gives the option of buying 10 motors at once since last time he used 6 to build the hand and forearm. As well, these motors are known to burn out occasionally, but since they are so cheap, and can get so many, it's simple to just replace. I later found out that he was looking for a different model of motors. So after a good amount of time had passed, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to return these, but I tried anyways, and Longruner responded right away! The customer service was extremely cooperative, sympathetic and helpful. The issue was resolved quickly and really to maximize the convenience to the customer. So with the price of these motors, the good torque and quality of the motors, and great customer service, I would recommend these MG996R motors as well as Longruner. I also notice that they sell a lot of electronic type stuff like arduinos and various sensors, which my son uses a lot, so i'm sure we will be purchasing from Longruner again.

Amazing value
The media could not be loaded. I bought 20 of these for a Hexapod robot build that needed 18 of them. At around $4.50 each this was an enormous cost saving over other servos and made the Hexapod build possible. I've run these continuously at 6 volts and have them moving as fast as possible and they do their job outstandingly for this kind of project. For the Hexapod I don't need good accuracy or repeatability, so if those things are an issue with these servos then I don't see it, so I can't speak for it.However, it is now 2 1/2 months after my purchase and a third servo has gone bad, stopped moving, dead just like two before it, and now I'm out of spares. So maybe run them at 5.5 volts and maybe not at maximum speed all the time and perhaps they'll last longer? Also taking a dead one apart, you discover the servo shaft visible from the outside and it's gear are made of brass, but all the other gears are plastic, so "metal geared" is a little misleading.

More than worth the money IMO
Very good servos comparable to much higher priced name brand. About 160 in/oz torque at 6v is more than enough for my aircraft, nice long lead but has the less desirable tin contacts. I've tested all 10 under 70 oz/in load and they all work well with good centering and holding plus the output shaft fits Futaba arms.Kind of funny in the description, up above the dimensions are correct, farther down it says they are micro servos.

Check all servos before using in project
I had two of the servos that did not work at all. Upon removing the covers found that the terminals for the motors were not soldered to the circuit board.

Not accurate at all
There are a couple of good points for these servos, they are cheap and fairly strong. After that, it is pretty much down hill. They are quite noisy but I can live with that. The main problem is that have terrible resolution and accuracy. There appears to be a significant dead band that prevents is from producing accurate repeatable movements. Small degree movements are not possible, movements greater than 5 degrees are required while my other servos tend to register even 1 degree movements. Return to center appears to vary several degrees. If you just need cheap servos and don't need any level of accuracy, these are a great deal but I expected these to at least be marginally accurate and they will likely grace my parts box for a while.

All 10 Servos have "Center Drift" !!!
I have had dismal success with all of these Servos. They will not stay trimmed, and continually drift from center as much as 10 degrees. I bought these last year as stock items and just now got around to installing them in 2 planes. Completely unusable, as I continually have to adjust trim during flight. Tried again 2021/03/15 ... Same issue, will NOT hold Center. Continually have to adjust trim during flight. I like the size and weight. The strength seems adequate, BUT, will NOT hold center... period!!!

but my other servos kind of sucked, so I feel like these deserve something more ...
The media could not be loaded. I don't normally write extended reviews, but my other servos kind of sucked, so I feel like these deserve something more thorough.1. Arrived on time: Not entirely related to the product, but I've been getting 50% on time packages from Amazon recently.2. Organization: Everything packaged perfectly.3. Ease of use: Using a raspberry pi with an adafruit hat. Plug and Play4. Power: more than enough for my projects. Ran it at 5.2 Volts.5. Angle: I have seen other servos not reset back to starting location. If there is any error in angular reset, I cant see it.6. Price: Average price for above average product.

3 star servos, 5 star service, incredible price
I've purchased 3 batches of these servos for a project that needed about 24 servos. First things first, you can't beat the price point. You are paying about $5 a piece. Compared to most other servos, that's really cheap. That being said, set your expectations accordingly. I had one that was completely dead on arrival. There was also a lot of variation in the rest between very smooth and fairly noisy movement. I got in touch with the seller, and they stand behind their products. They are replacing the dead one at no cost to me. So that's a big plus. My recommendation, take advantage of the price and buy some extras. Spend more later if you really need to. If you do get a dead one, just contact the seller.

Excellent value for money
I wasn’t expecting much, given the price, but my impressions so far are very favourable indeed. All ten of the servos worked straight out of the box. The plugs and cables are solidly made and give reliable connections. The servos are nicely formed and work well. The metal gears make them slightly noisier than plastic, but I’m hoping they should have a long life. The only slight downside is that some servos had a little lubricant on the outside of the case. Easily wiped off, and a good indicator that the gears are not running unlubricated. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy more of these.

90 degree amazing servos.
They servos are FANTASTIC! Ive bought to x2 10 packs so far and they have all worked fine, no burn outs on servos yet and I abuse servos. I haven't even burned out the ones Ive modded to run multiple motors off of a single servo PCB. Solid PCB!Main thing to keep in mind is these are 90 degree servos. If you need 180 these are not for you without a bit of work. If you need 360 degrees these are easy to modify by removing the stopper block. These are and will be my go to for this size servo.

False Advertising!!! Don’t Waste Your Money!!
The product was not what was advertised. It says that it is a pack of MG996R motors, but instead they are a pack of LKY62 motors which are a lot less powerful than the MG996R. I am very upset 😡!

Excellent Quality - Work great!
Just replaced a fried unit from SainSmart. I do not recommend SainSmart. All these servos work perfectly!

Poor Quality
Tested all ten of these motors, only 4 worked. Who knows how long the others will remain functional. Also, they are not MG996R as described. If you like taking chances, you may get a good batch and have them all functional, which would result in a great deal. Conversely, you may receive zero working servos. Essentially, buy at your own risk, as there may be little to no quality assurance in production of these motors.
