Works perfectly with Sky Q HD
Contrary to a previous review, I can confirm that this works perfectly with Sky Q. This includes the IR passthrough, which just worked first time. We only have Sky HD, not UHD, but I suspect most Sky customers are like us. If that's you, I highly recommend this. Image and sound quality in HD is excellent, and no lip-sync issues. Fantastic value.

Almost perfect.
Excellent product. Simple to install and the picture/sound quality is very good. So much easier to discreetly install long runs of Cat5/6 cable compared with HDMI. One (slightly) disappointing discovery is that the 'thru' signal arrives at the primary tv slightly ahead of the extended signal causing a mind-bending echo effect when both tv's are on. We get round the problem by closing the adjoining doors - a minor inconvenience compared to the great benefits that it provides, hence 5-stars.

Worked well till a power outage
Purchased to replace a previous unit which failed following a power outage after working flawlessly for over a year.

Brilliant bit of tech!
Brilliant bit of tech…background to me buying it…we moved into a new build and the builders put in Cat5E cables in the wall for tv to be connected to various devices (sky box/xbox etc) however, I didn’t realise (nor did the builder) that Cat 5E is not suitable for likes of UHD or 4K devices so my Xbox would not connect and we HD tv shows/movies were NOT HD quality. Before opening the wall to replace cables with either cat 6 or just longer HDMI cables I thought I would try this to see if it solves the issue and it does! Xbox will now connect to the tv and movies are in Hd…I tried to watch a UHD film on sky (I have an UHD tv) but the sky box kept saying it wasn’t connected to a UHD tv where as when I had a long HDMI cable, I was able to watch it no bother. As it’s power over Ethernet, it only requires one plug socket (at the sky box/xbox side) so you don’t need multiple extra sockets. I have paired this with an HDMI switch so that I have my sky box, Xbox, blu ray player and cctv hard drive all plugged in to the HDMI switch and then I only needed one of these boosters for the one cat 5E cable. Down the line, I may look at either opening the wall and putting in either 10m long HDMI cables or cat 6 cables but this saves me the hassle of doing this before Christmas, it works brilliantly and is very simply to set up.

Two separate units have failed within a month
The idea is great. The picture quality is spot on. WHEN they work. I ordered the first one of these after trying a multitude of awful HDMI extenders. I tried wireless and over Cat 6. I am extending the HDMI output from a Network Video Recorder in the loft to an upstairs office - a distance of about 10m (if that). This product was the only one that actually delivered a decent picture quality. However it failed a couple of weeks after installing - it's POE so the receiver end shows a green light when connected - and then a flashing orange light when data is being transferred. It just stopped working suddenly - green light remained on - no more orange data light. Tried turning it off and on again several times - always got the green light - but no orange, and the screen stayed blank. There is no hard reset button or any other kind of control - it's just plug and play - except it's decided not to play. I removed the product from the loft, and connected it with a short pre-made cable just to be sure it wasn't the cable at fault - but still no comms. Thinking it was a one-off - I arranged the return, and ordered another of the same units. This one has also just demonstrated the same fault one month into ownership. So that's two separate units that have died within a month of install. Love the product and the image quality - but something significant is letting it down, and I don't have the time to spend faffing about trying to work out what it is. Back to the drawing board, and I'll try another product.

Only Connect (over a distance!)
Purchased to extend my Freesat box connection to the opposite side of the lounge. Worked straight away with no issues. Includes IR blaster and receiver so remote for box works perfectly. I certainly recommend for the usage I've described here.

Super satisfeito
Funcionam lindamente. Voltaria a comprar. Boa relação preço/qualidade

Works Great
This works perfectly over cat 6 of a distance of 30 meters. The picture is nice and clear. I am only using it for a security system monitor so not sure how it would handle fast moving pictures such as a movie.

HDMI extension done right
For those running a HDMI 'Jugaad' with couplers and long cables - there's a better way 😎. This extender's a solid option if you want reliable, good quality HDMI over long distances. Pricier than DIY couplers, cheaper than active HDMI, but if quality matters, it's worth it 💯. STP cable's a must, HDCP compliance is a thing (use a splitter if needed). Works great for me as a two-way extender.

Flawless 4K Signal, Zero Latency, and Single-Cable Power Simplicity
If you need to run a high-quality video signal over a long distance where a standard HDMI cable would completely fail, this OREI 4K HDMI extender is the ultimate solution. Running an uncompressed 4K signal through thick walls or across large rooms can be a massive headache, but this kit handles it flawlessly using a single standard Ethernet cable. The video quality is perfect. There is absolutely zero signal degradation, screen flickering, or digital artifacting. It handles crisp 4K resolutions beautifully with full color depth and HDR support, meaning the picture looks exactly the same at the destination screen as it does right at the source device. Several standout features make this specific kit worth buying over cheaper alternatives: Power over Cable (PoC): This is a massive feature for clean installations. You only need to plug the power adapter into one unit (the transmitter end). The receiver box draws its power directly through the CAT6/CAT7 cable. This means you don't need an extra AC outlet behind your remote TV or projector, which makes mounting it incredibly clean and tidy. HDMI Loop-Out: The transmitter unit features a local HDMI pass-through port. This allows you to split the signal and keep a local monitor connected right at your source equipment for simultaneous viewing or easy troubleshooting. Robust Metal Enclosure: Both the transmitter and receiver units are housed in heavy-duty, compact metal casings. They feel professional grade, dissipate heat exceptionally well, and are small enough to tuck away easily out of sight. IR Pass-Through: The included infrared blasters work perfectly. You can point your device's original remote control directly at the TV screen on the receiving end, and the signal routes seamlessly back down the line to control the source media player or receiver. The hardware is entirely plug-and-play with no drivers or complicated handshaking setup required. As long as you use a high-quality, solid-copper CAT6 or CAT7 cable, it establishes a solid connection instantly and stays stable for days on end without dropping out. It is a incredibly dependable, professional-tier piece of kit.
