Discipline: The Brazelton Way (A Merloyd Lawrence Book) Paperback – January 1, 2003

I read quite a few books on discipline and parenting, always searching for something that will help the parents I work with help their children be more successful. The truth is, the ability of any book to be of help to a parent relies not on the severity of the problem the child is having, but on the willingness of the parent to be open to taking another view of the problem and thus the solution. What I like about this book is that the authors list the pros and cons of various available options, including options some of us would consider to have no possible pros (or perhaps cons). They don't say "not" to do this or that, or that one "must" do this or that. Instead each choice offered as just that--a choice. And each choice has consequences, both good and bad. Ultimately parents must decide what they are comfortable with, but hopefully this book will give them helpful information from which to make that decision.

I live in Australia, when I bought the book the time average time of deliver was one month , after two weeks the book was in from of my door.Thanks .so happy for thatI will purchase more books for sure

Great book

Brazelton makes it easier to be a parent, especially on some of the tougher areas of the job. He lays out clearcut ways to improve behavior (your child's and your own!) and strengthen the relationship between parent and child. It's not rocket science, just good, practical advice to review when the going gets tough.

My daughter loves this book. Her 3 year old is very active and quite rebellious as many this age are and she finds it to be a great help.

Not what I expected...I was hoping this book to be a little more tactical and hands on
