One section I particularly enjoyed described the trait of emotional balance as a predictor
Matchmaker Secrets: The Six Predictors of Dating Success Review: Matchmaker Secrets, The Six Predictors of Dating Success“OK, I’m single (or single again). What do I do now?” Or: “ I’ve been dating for a while but no success. What am I doing wrong? “ Professional matchmakers Elizabeth Cobey-Piper and Susie Hardesty co-author a very informative book Matchmaker Secrets, The Six Predictors of Dating that address these dating questions and others. The book reflects their combined 30 years of working with singles navigating in the current dating scene. The book describes 6 core strategies or approaches the authors call “predictors” of achieving dating success. They identify these predictors from their observation of clients in the real dating world. Each section of the book explains the predictor and describes examplesbased on case studies of actual clients (names changed of course), and what behaviors reinforced the value of each predictor and what behaviors worked negatively. So the reader can get a clear sense of how each predictor works and also interrelates to the other predictors. One section I particularly enjoyed described the trait of emotional balance as a predictor. The authors are candid with the comment: “Dating is one of the few areas of our lives where we fail over and over again and still continue to try.” I suspect anyone who has been in the dating game couldn’targue with that! But success “is dependent on our ability to pick ourselves up, brush ourselves off, and go at it again..”The authors provide a very helpful section on how to keep a sense of perspective on dating anxiety. For example, they suggest doing your best to “make every date a positive experience for both of you” Even though your date may not be the dreamboat you hoped for, “ see it as a chance to learn something new about yourself, the other person or the world around you”. What a great thought. Think about the other person too.The case studies in the book show clients who were successful in the dating experience but also clients who did not find success. So the readercan understand what behaviors or actions worked against the person. The book does not specifically cover the senior or aging boomer who may be entering the dating scene after many years following death of a spouse or divorce. The challenges of dating in later years may be complicated by the attitudes of adult children who may or may not want to see the parent dating again. But I suspect the predictors in the book are equally applicable to any age in the dating world. There is a good section on online dating which seniors will find useful. The book does not specify tips to employ on first dates as what to wear, what courtesies to observe, what not to talk about on first dates, etc. these items may be covered in a follow up edition.I found this book an excellent resource of dating strategies that I have not seen or read anywhere else. So, if you are single and entering the dating scene, or frustrated by past dating experiences, you will find this a valuable book to read and study.Senior67(Disclosure: Writer is a client of Dating Directions.com )

The item arrived promptly and all packaging was in good shape. The product itself is wonderful. I bought two. I have a long history of tendinitis and muscle pain in my hands. I overwork them regularly and after a serious bout of tendinitis about two years ago I had just gotten used to having them throb from time to time. Especially when I woke up in the mornings and they’ve had time to stiffen up.What makes this product special?1. It does not harden when it freezes. It remains soft and pliable2. It is shaped to fit the body and is held in place by a soft Velcro closure so there is no reason you have to “hold” it in place.3. Because it is shaped it applies equal cold to all sides, no having to switch it around4. The cold is mild. There is no need to wrap a second layer over the ice gel in order to wear it comfortably5. Non-toxic, non-leak gelThe down side:1. More expensive than conventional ice packs2. Can’t get wet.3. there is a seam on the inside of the thumb hole that sits against your hand. after a long time it starts to feel sharp.

This product is amazing. Some tips
This product is amazing. Some tips: other reviews have commented that the black velcro if it touches the blue part does rip it up. One advice is to wrap the black velcro into itself, on the black part. For those that say this product is not cold at all, there can be numerous reasons. I realized if I put this product is in the front of my fridge it's not as cold. I place it in the back and let it freeze for 5-6 hours or more. This definitely keeps it cold for up to around 40 minutes. Also I close the wrap tight. The material is great, although it goes need to be kept away from water, thus the company encloses a plastic bag to store it however I put another big plastic bag to make sure there is no water that gets in there, also if ice particles form I put a paper towel to make sure it's dry. Also I don't want the thing to smell like frozen vegetables or meat, etc. This product is great b/c you can still type, use your fingers. The material feels great as well. It's worth the money.

The Leader of the Pack
I frequently experience pain in both wrists. To date, I've tried 3 different brands of gel packs searching for the best therapeutic 'cold wrap' available OTC - including this Elasto-Gel offering. Having also tried the Adelid & Torex wraps, I can say that, for me, the Elasto is the better option. Granted, it is a bit pricier than the other 2 I've tried, but I think it's a classic case of getting what you pay for. Of the 3 I've used, the Elasto is the most flexible, the most comfortable and covers more physical 'terrain'. That said, I only use it for cold therapy as that is what my wrists seem to prefer - so I can't comment on using it for heat therapy. I've also tried all 3 on my feet to cool down aching arches - my experience has been that the Elasto-Gel seems to lead the 'pack' - when my dogs are barking (lame pun intended).

Ouchie hands be gone
Bought these for my girlfriend after she started a new job. They arw a lifesaver. She was diagnosed with Tendonitis (bullet manufacturing) and on her three days off she basically could not open a bottle of water. After buying these, her relief was palpable. They are well made, and fit nicely on her hands. Jthey retain the cooling effect for about 20 minutes out of the freezer, then they need to be put back in for roughly 30-45 minutes. After her Tendonitis got better, I gifted them to my brother (concrete finisher.) He loves them too, says the relief he gets after a long day of finishing concrete makes him want to cry in relief. If you have any issues with your hands that requiee icing them down, these are awesome. They have velcro straps, so you do not have to grip them to hold onto them. Cannot recommend them enough.
