SteelSeries S&S Gaming Mouse Pad (Black)

This particular product is getting harder and harder to find, Get this before they stop making them! I've used many SS mousepads over the years, and this one is one of the only hard plastic ones i really like. Very smooth surface may take some getting used to as its doesn't have much resistance that a cloth pad may have, but you will be surprised by how accurate it is. Highly recommended for gaming/graphics work.

Received this about a week ago, but being an avid gamer it only took a couple day's for me to write this review. The bag that it comes with is great, almost too great. I feel that if there was as much time in planning the mouse pad as there was the bag, I'd given it 5 star's. The mouse pad itself feel's cheap/flimsy. I bought the plastic one because I wanted another mouse pad for use on say my lay-z-boy recliner. A surface that is uneven. Well, the plastic does ok. By no mean's is as good as my iCEMAT (Glass) or my early version Razer (aluminum double sided), but what it does do is it's job. It's not uncommon for a person like me to spend $40 on a mouse pad. The case feel's like it's worth 3 times as much as the pad, yet still feel's cheap. Atleast with the mouse feet applied it isn't as noisy. I play FPS as well as ton's of other games. On a hard surface, this mat is large in size, does not move due to the rubbery spray on compound on the bottom, and work's. Just wish it had a feel of a little more quality/effort. Disappointed because I buy Steelseries product's from time to time, but they don't score nearly as good here as they do with their headset's.

Needed a mousepad that doesn't track animal hair. My cats still love sitting on it, but this time I don't need to use my lint roller daily. The edges don't lift up either, so it's great.

I am a photographer and graphic designer, this mouse-pad is smooth and brilliant. Price may seem steep for a mouse-pad, but a sweet purchase indeed.

I've owned many mouse pads over the years, mostly cheapies. This is the only Steel Series product I own.... it is great!The main problem I had with cheaper mouse pads was how they would move on my desk surface (finished wood) and get dirty easily which would interfere with the movement of my mouse. This pad stays put on my desk. I have a habit of leaning my hand or palm on my mouse pad and even that constant pressure doesn't budge this mouse pad.My current mouse is laser and it moves beautifully across the pad. I like the feeling of it gliding but I also like it to have some tactile response which this mouse pad is perfect for me. I once tried a friend's mouse pad that was some type of glass material and while the mouse was smooth on it it also felt odd to me, I much prefer this. It also stays clean and takes nothing more then a cloth brushed over it to clean up any stray dirt/dust.If my dog ever decides to eat this one and I'm forced to buy a new mouse pad I will buy the exact same one again. I'm delighted with this mousemat. I'm not a gamer, I just wanted a reliable mousemat whose surface wouldn't separate from its base, and this looked like it meant business. As a mousemat it gets five stars. I would criticise its packaging, however. Not only is it dispatched from Germany, which I didn't realise, it's also packaged in a hard clear plastic case which as yet I can't recycle and which goes into landfill. What carbon footprint have I thus supported? That's cost it two stars.
