Using these as closures for my hand made journals
The ring the skull has in its mouth is holding a small, handmade fringe tassel. The back of the journal has two holes that I passed a narrow (or fine), elastic black hair (pony tail) band through. The band goes around the skull head to hold the journal closed. I love making my own journals and having a pair of these for a couple of journals that I will use has been fun! I get compliments on my journals when people see them so I'm always looking for ways for them to stand out and these screw back conchos are pretty cool!
