What happened to these shoes?!
I had these a few years ago and loved them. When the sole started to separate, I bought a different style of skechers, that laces up and has shiny patent leather on the front. They were awful, don't buy them. I bought these from Amazon and when I received them I understood the bad reviews. They must have changed the material because they are hard and inflexible, and the toe box is very cramped. Not because they are too small for my feet, the length is perfect, but the toe box is not tall enough and it pushes down on top of my toes. My other pair had a softer leather and I could velcro them very tightly, not the case with these. I tried rubbing alcohol and stuffing them to stretch the toe box, and bought inserts for the lack of arch support and they are still bad. After working the Super Bowl in these shoes I wanted to cut my feet off! Skechers is being cheap lately, try another brand.

So they did a good job. If I would not have walked so ...
Order half a size up. I used these to urban hike (walk within the city) every weekend since I ordered them (about a year ago). So on average I would put on 15 miles a weekend on them. They finally wore out. So they did a good job. If I would not have walked so much in them, I am sure they still would have been a good shoe for another year. I would not recommend them for a job you have where you stand all day.

Comfortable, supportive, runs just a little small.
I got these shoes because I thought they looked halfway decent and had the slip resistant outsole. I bought them a half size bigger than I normally do. (I also buy running shoes in this size). This was good for the comfort, especially of my toes. The upper is nice because it is very cushioned and doesn't pinch. Also, I work in a deli, and it is near water proof. drips and spills roll of the upper and can be rinsed off at the end of the day. The only thing I didn't like is that the z-strap can't be secured terribly tightly, so It is not very versatile. You really have to get the right size for you, but as I said, the upper is very cushion and has some elastic in it, so you almost don't need the z-strap.

They were comfortable to stand in
I wore these in a kitchen for 4 years. They stood against everything I stood in. At one point, I accidentally filled them with hot soup. I even washed them in the industrial dishwasher a couple times. It took them 3 years for the leather to start cracking. They even stood up to being covered in grease, which usually eats through Shoes For Crews type shoes. They were comfortable to stand in, especially on 12+ hour shifts. Absolutely worth the money I paid. HIGHLY recommended.

These shoes are comfortable, easy to clean and fit nicely
This is my first pair of Skechers work shoes and I am thrilled with them. For years I have purchased Shoes For Crews and their comfort level has declined so much that I wore the pair I purchased a few weeks ago for 2 days and could barely walk.(that is when I ordered these!) I walk between 5-7 miles a day in a fast paced full service restaurant, 6 days a week--yes, there is pedometer on my phone--ha! These shoes are comfortable, easy to clean and fit nicely. I will purchase this brand in the future.

I purchased these shoes last week hoping the poor reviews were untrue
Not for the long haul in the restaurant industry. I purchased these shoes last week hoping the poor reviews were untrue, unfortunately they are not. I work at an incredibly busy restaurant that has multiple floors both of wood and custome tile as a food runner. The soles on these shoes are so thin you can feel every grout line and crack in the wood. The soles are not the best in slip resistance especially near the dish pit. The toe box is tight and the shoes slip off easily, there is only a flimsy 1" strip of Velcro to close the shoe, so you can't really get a tight fit if you wanted one. I even tried my own inserts to increase the comfort with no luck. I hope I can return them cause for $70 I was hoping for a bit more comfort. 2 stars, cause I like the look, otherwise I would have rated this product a 1 star.

Poor support
I bought these because I work in a kitchen and they had mildly good reviews. There is basically no support in them. I work at least 8 hours a day on hard floor and these were killer. If you stepped on a rock it would feel as though it was jammed into your foot. The soles of these are basically nothing. I added insoles to them and it really didn't help either. I bought another pair and got rid of these within a month. Poor product with no support.

They'll do for now, but not great for servers
The shoes are cute, but they don't have enough cushion in the soles to make being on my feet all day very comfortable. Usually, by the time I get off work, my feet are pretty achy. I tried putting inserts in, but then it was hard to get the velcro to stay fastened. They also are not 100% slip resistant. There have been several times where I have slipped//skidded on wet floors when my co-workers didn't have any problems. The shoes will do for now, but I will end up getting something different next time. If you are a server in a restaurant with hard floors, I would look for something else.
