MALOUF Hook Connection Footboard Extension Brackets Attachment Kit - California King - Set of 2

These extensions were just the trick needed to make an old oak bed usable with the mattresses and box springs of today. Could not have used bed without them. Who knew?

I did not have an issue with the product itself. My side board on my bed broke and this seems to be a great replacement for the original bracket. However the box it came in was delivered in a standard Amazon brown box so I do not understand why the original box is so torn up. The plastic bag with the screw and nuts was ripped and looked like it was rusty. Some of the screws were missing. Had to go buy them.

Hooks attached to the brackets are not universal fit for all headboards/footboards. In fact, they were about a half inch smaller in and a different shape than my existing hooks that came with original side rails, in addition to being positioned about 2 inches lower on the rails when attached. Complete miss on this purchase.

This was purchased for an antique wooden bed frame that didn't fit my new queen mattress. I was able to have holes welded into the original metal poles so it works like an extender. The problem is that you had to do this in the first place. While I realize it did work, I wish it would have been more customisable for an every day person. Luckily, I had some access to a drill press.

Great purchase! I have a heavy antique footboard and a standard bed frame, these were perfect.

Our headboard could be bolted onto our standard wheeled bed frame but in order to use the foot-board we would need to use the bed rails. Unfortunately our bed rails were designed for a queen bed and buying appropriately long ones for our twin bed would have set us back more than twice the price of this attachment. These worked perfectly and they keep our entire bed/headboard/foot-board assembly much sturdier than it had been when we had just used the rails.

These are great i used then on the exterior and interior of the rails. Fits great and are very strong, it is on my antique frame holding a king bed. You can get these to work for any size bed!! Just use different screews..
