Quality product.
Not an easy install for one person. Once I got it up in the tree and put some corn in the barrel, it works well. Had to engineer a deflector so the corn would not all go into the woods behind the tree. Thanks Folgers!Started with hundred pounds and lifted it easily. Don't like having to climb a ladder to operate the lift. I plan to modify in the off season and bring the winch down to ground level.

I would recommend this feeder hoist
I fell off a ladder putting food in a feeder. You can do that a few times before you end up in the hospital. This product is the solution. I have bought three this year. Easily handles 200 lbs of feed and the weight of the feeder. I found it easy to assemble. I like a tree that has something the chain can catch on. I think a telephone pole would be difficult get this to work on but it might. For one of my feeders I had to get extra chain for a larger tree I wanted to use. Lowering and raising the feeder is easy. A suggestion to the company would be to shorten the handle. You have to be careful to not scrape your knuckles on the tree when cranking it. The price seems to be good compared to the competition.

Very well built, easy to use
Really easy to put together. Hanging does usually need two people, one to hold in place on the tree the other to bring chain around to secure. Product is worth every penny in area's with bear's or hogs. I won't use anything else, works great with either Moultrie or American hunter hanging feeder.

Out of reach
This item works great when your in the rough spot to feed on a hill side with a tripod feeder. Easy to crank up after filling. High enough for bears not to knock it over. Great product.

A good piece to have in the field.
This was purchased, primarily to hang a feeder.Pros:1. Assembly was pretty easy. Instructions were clear.2. This thing is sturdy and heavy.3. This thing can hold a heavy animal (up to about 300-350 pounds)4. The chain for mounting to a tree is strong.Cons:1. The chain, while strong enough to hold the hoist and quite a bit of weight, is a little difficult to make sure you have it snug set on the trees.2. The pulley wheel at the top is stiff and tends catch the cable when trying to lower an empty feeder without the weight.I have been using this for a couple of months in the field. Except with the pulley wheel issue, I have had no problems with the hoist and it has done all that I need. Maybe when the buck in that photo has another year behind him it will be time to drop the feeder and get ready to field dress him.

Works Great to get feeders out of reach of cattle
Great value for the money. These are fairly easy to assemble. I have bought three of these now. The only thing I find difficult is the process of hanging the bracket from the tree. You have to use a ladder of some sort to get them up high enough. The brackets are just heavy enough that lifting them with one hand, and trying to hold in place while you wrap the chain around the tree trunk, can prove to be very challenging. The best approach I found is to place the ladder in back of the tree, climb up with the bracket, brace it on the ladder or tree while you get the chain started around the trunk, then lift up into place, hold with one hand by pulling back towards you, then connecting the chain. Of course if you have help available - two people make it an easy task.

Skip it. Garbage product.
Garbage. Don’t buy. Winch is cheap and broke in less than 3 months.
