Innova - Champion Discs Blizzard Champion Boss Golf Disc

Holy crap.I had high hopes for this guy after reading about it and seeing some reviews on YouTube but I never would've expected it to be as good as it was. I always used a Star Destroyer as my main driver but I was looking for something a little less stable and made a turn. Not only does this have an amazing flight path, but I get amazing distance. With the Destroyer, I had some really long distance drives but it wasn't always consistent. If I didn't throw it hard enough it would fade super early and drop right into the trees. With the Boss, I have the ability to tune the throw to get it to turn more and always drops in with a great looking fade. This has become a staple in my bag and I'm already looking at trying the different plastics.

I ordered this disc yesterday morning and already got it today. I think that is more because Amazon just added a facility here in SLC so that is nice. But about the disc, I have been playing regularly for the last 8-9 months, so I am still fairly new but have learned a lot. So I tell you this because I can throw the Lepord 3 about 275-285f feet to give you a good idea of my power (still a bit weak) but I tried this disc today already and it tanks to the left (RH throw) and only went about 200 feet for me. I am still going to work on being able to throw this further, but I recommend someone who is a beginner to go with something a bit slower. My leoperd 3 is really good if you are looking for a good distance driver, but that is another subject.

This is my absolute favorite driver. It is incredibly light and easy to throw backhand or forehand. It flies for days and has helped me increase my drive by at least 40 feet. It is very reliable and predictable and flies well in light winds, too. Anything more than light wind, I would choose a heavier disc. The material it is made from is very durable. unfortunately, I have hit many trees with this disc, but it remains unscathed. This is my go-to driver and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone.

Great disc, but I wouldn't buy this if you don't have the proper arm speed. I think it's safe to say this disc is entirely too much for any beginner or intermediate player. I gave it 5 stars because I respect the Blizzard Boss, but I had to return it for I'm not ready for a disc like this. I you can't throw an easy 300ft normally, refrain from getting this disc until you're ready.I have failry decent arm speed and form; currently playing with a Champ Valkyrie (even that disc can be too over-stable for my throw at times, and it's a 9/4/-2/2) but I went against my friends' advice and purchased the Boss with the logic that it's the farthest thrown disc, why not? Wrong.. My throws take vicious fade to the left every throw. I'd suggest a much more stable/under-stable driver if you're new(er) to the game (Example: 9\5\-3\1).

If you want to try a disc with higher speed, this is your disc. I have tried others with 12+ speed rating and can't get enough power to throw them correctly. However this disc sails and has a nice flight path.

This is now my go too distance driver. Within a couple rounds of practice I had added 50-75 feet to my distance drives. Floats in water and predictably fades left on RHBH throws. Cuts into a headwind great and the plastic holds up well. Not as well as my Star or Gstar but light years ahead of basic plastics.

As an advanced beginner I feel this disc gave me an immediate boost in distance. I found that I was able to control the disc reliably, and use the strong fade to advantage. I chose the 150g to help cut though breezes and recommend that for other beginners. I may try a lighter disc for max distance on calm days. Of course, at my level I'm not getting anywhere close to the record breaking distances of experts, but definitely getting 25-50 yards further than any of my other beginner drivers (I throw mainly forehand but same effect with backhand... I switch up to take advantage of the fade depending on the obstacles).

Another Blizzard disc I like. I sent for this and the Destroyer and Wraith at the same time and have enjoyed all of them. I have been playing for less than a year and am still learning the game. I practice on an open soccer field and this disc will fly over the opposite fence without trees or obstacles to hinder its flight. I want to try many other discs, but this one has been a pleasure to use. No complaints with any of the three Innova discs just bought, or with Amazon service!

I used to play a many years ago, so I know how to throw but just don't have the same power. The blizzard plastic and light weight has allowed me to get the most out of this disc, and has quickly become my #1 driver. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a long range driver, but doesn't quite have the long range strength. If you are turning over your current drivers, I would look for a way heavier Boss
