Marble Race Deluxe

As previously reviewed, I love this thing. So much in fact, I ordered one for my nephew and bought a second one for my son. I have so much fun, as well as my husband to set this up with our little one. It's not rocket science. It's easy to put together. This is a lot of fun. Our four year olds have a great time experimenting with other ways to put it together. There are many negative reviews concerning the molded plastic pieces, but they have not been a problem at our house at all. The track segments are light weight and simple to put together. We built it together in the configuration shown on the box only once. The most enjoyable races have been with experimental formations. Creativity and imagination is key to this toy. The marbles themselves are light, which I didn't like, but they posed no problem as far as the kids were concerned. If it is an issue in your house, a standard set of glass, cat-eye marbles will fit just fine. There is some wobble to this toy, depending on the surface you build on, and how the track is put together, but again not really a problem. It teaches cause and effect. The bottom line? This is an affordable toy that the family can play with together or independently.

Not the highest quality, but definitely the best value for those on a tight budget. The pieces seem durable and can withstand normal play. Some pieces don't fit together perfectly, but kids don't really care as long as you can maneuver the path so the marbles continue to flow (I have just learned that some pieces don't work well together and work fine when paired with other track pieces). Some marbles also have a little "pricky tag" from manufacturing that causes them to get stuck from time to time, but we could easily sand off the "tag" and they would work just fine.Overall, I think this is the best value for the cost as far as marble runs go. It is really fun to play with (even as an adult) and it's a fun toy to rebuild however you want. I would buy this toy again and I just may buy another one next Christmas so my niece can build a marble empire!ps - the key is a sturdy base...and making sure to line up the right sized pieces, otherwise it gets pretty wobbly (but again, the kids don't really care as long as the marbles roll)

I was very frustrated with the reviews on all the marble runs on amazon. It seemed like every marble run had both five star and one star reviews so I eventually bought this one. My 3 yr old and 18month old love it. I read the reviews before buying so I knew it didn't work with normal marbles and the plastic balls it comes with are garbage, they are too light to work well. So I ordered 1/2in peewee marbles in advance. They work great and were a few extra $ which was worth it.The main reasons I chose this marble run: great sturdy bases, nice variety of runs, lots of pieces. The pieces fit together well not too snug so my kids can pull them apart no problem. Fairly inexpensive although you get what you pay for as far as quality goes. It's not perfect but I wasn't willing to spend a fortune to get perfect quality. This one works just fine.Cons: doesn't work with normal marbles, the plastic balls it comes with are crap. Balls get stuck in the loop d loop run if too many go at once but that's not really a big deal.Overall, yes I would recommend this one.

We love marble runs at our house and this set did not disappoint!Pros: There are a lot of pieces in this set that make building really fun. It's very easy to put together in whatever configuration you want. I also like how all the base pieces are landing places for the marbles (our previous set only gave you two). The pieces are easy to put together but are snug enough that they hold together well. It's also very sturdy and doesn't have trouble staying put even when it's high.Cons: Not a whole lot bad here. Some of the pieces when joined lean a little and might loosen slightly, but not enough to hinder the rolling of the marbles. Some of the marbles jump the track occasionally, but it's not often. Some people might say it wouldn't stand well on carpet, but honestly which set would? They're made to be played with on a sturdy surface. I do think this set would still work fine on carpet just because of the large base pieces, but I haven't tried it.

We ordered this for Christmas for my child after using an extremely similar item in my preschool classroom for several years. What a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT with this brand! The plastic pieces are so flimsy and warped [and unable to be bent to correct them] that it is impossible to build any kind of structure. It is also totally frustrating that some of the pieces don't even fit together snugly. When built to the suggested structure that the box gives you, the marbles still need help to move through it. I wish I had spent the extra few dollars and bought the brand that I was familiar with. And we definitely would have returned this one if the packaging hadn't gotten ruined when we opened it.

I have purchased 4 of these 1 for each of my grandsons and 1 for my house since they like to play with them so much. They spend many hours building their towers and watching the balls go pass through. I thinks that it makes it more enjoyable since the tubes are transparent so they can see the balls passing through.

I had issues with my first order, the box was severely damaged. They were great about sending me a replacement toy, when my second package arrived with the replacement I was shocked to find the box was STILL damaged, not as bad as the first, but still dented in, it made wrapping quite a hassle. The toy is being enjoyed, but I'm still dissatisfied with how it arrived once again. Maybe the people in the warehouse should be more mindful that people actually made money to get these toys.
