Red Dragon is the Best Bang for Buck: This Keyboard is Awesome
I have tried many different Keyboards and mice from Amazon. Perixx made some solid keyboards and mice that were heavy and sturdy but eventually developed glitches. I tried some of the cheaper mechanical keyboards and eventually they had dead keys where you could not repair or replace the switches. Red Dragon, however, has never let me down.I bought this keyboard to replace two mechanical keyboards that failed and wound up as oversized paper weights. I went back to a Dell media keyboard and although reliable---just blah. I needed a keyboard that was not only mechanical but had volume keys and media controls. This keyboard, the Vata 580 was perfect. Price fell in the midrange of more expensive "gaming"brands. I didn't mind the blue switches because I actually enjoy the click clack of keys. I was trained in keyboarding on those big brown IBM typewriters and old school Dell clicky keyboards so it was no big deal. Loud but I love it since it's just me in a room. The RGB schema can be overwhelming if you are just reading off of the instruction manual but you can easily go to the website and download the desktop app which will allow you to program the macros and RGB scheme . Drivers are not needed as the keyboard works right out the box. Using the Fn key and pressing all those buttons is annoying so I would suggest the app.The build and quality is good for the price and typing is smooth and accurate. I have not gamed with it but I use an XBOX One Controller so I cannot comment on in-game performance. For an affordable mechanical keyboard with blue switches, this is a good deal.

Buen teclado, costo beneficio.

Had a weird pinging noise
I really really wanted to like this but, I couldn’t in the end. Design is great, loved the RGB and loved the clicky switches but, there was this ping each time I typed. I believe it was the board and not the switches because if I just hit the plate it did it. I’m not savvy enough to open it up and fix it. Wanted to but, couldn’t figure it out. If you can, then great, but otherwise the ping just gets annoying, at least if you’re typing at a computer all day like me. Otherwise again all other features were great so, it was disappointing.

Amazing Keyboard for 1/2 the price of competitors
Amazing quality. Metal top plate. Keycaps/switches feel good. RGB is vibrant and had many modes. Quality/features way above its price range.

Solid Mechanical Option Without Having to Spend Razer or Corsair Money
This is a solid keyboard for the price, though if I was going to HAVE to pick between this and my Techware Spectre Pro, I would pick the Spectre Pro all day. And I like the look of the uncovered keyboards much much better than covered ones. I think their aesthetic is just so much cooler looking than that of a covered board. I guess it's mostly the way the RGB comes out from beneath each key as well as through the legends. This keyboard just looks like a nice solid piece of aluminum with switches mounted to it, whereas the Spectre Pro looks more like something one might have sat in front of during technology or typing class back in the HIgh School days, only with RGB added into the mix...However, aside from looks, which aren't everything by a long shot... The Techware Spectre Pro wins every time in any other catagory. I just feel like for around this same price (cheaper really, as the VATA is $62+, and the Spectre Pro is only $45+) the Spectre Pro just feels much more fitted and finished and not as rough around the edges. Not to mention, while I love blue switches and won't purchase a board with anything other than clicky switches, the Spectre Pro provides more options as far as switches are concerned, and this goes a long way in getting a board that one might ultimately be happy with, because being limited to Blues when you know you prefer Reds, well, that just sucks. I know you could switch the switches out, but the VATA is already $20 more expensive than the Spectre Pro anyway, and who wants to spend $62 on a new board and spend another $30 or more re-fitting it with proper switches?? No one I know. By the time you spend that kind of money, you could have gotten a Razer Huntsman Elite or the like, with Razer's sweet optical but clicky switches which are pretty sweet (even if I'm not a big fan of Razer overall) I'm just saying, moist people who are okay with spending $100 are going to gert something other than a Redragon keyboard in the first place. And then, you consider that while without all the media control options (nothing other than the Volume wheel with the Spectre Pro), still the Spectre Pro comes out on top because it just feels like a mechanical keyboard who'se value is much higher than the cost of it's price tag. When you type on the Spectre Pro, it just feels and sounds like a GOOD mechanical keyboard should, straight up and down. The only place that the Redragon really wins that fight, is in the "cool" looks department, and the keycaps, which don't matter but so much because I change them as soon as I get my hands on them anyway, to PBT, because the ABS caps are just cheap and don't sound the way a mechanical keyboard is meant to sound IMO. PBT keycaps are a must for any keyboard that comes stock with ABS, and I'm pretty sure that's all of them, as even the expensive big brand keyboards put ABS keycaps on their keyboards from the factory. I don't get it... But, if I was going to have to deal with the ABS, then the VATA wins simply because the FONT of it's legends just so happens to be what I personally feel EVERY shine-thru keycap made for use with RGB should use. I wish I knew what it was called, and I wish for the life of me I could understand why these companies use FONT like what comes on your grandma's old 90s Packard Bell instead of the sweet FONT seen here on these Redragon keycaps. Everyone should take a clue from Redragon in this regard, including Techware. Hell, its even difficult to find aftermarket keycaps in a font like this. You'll get some sweet feeling and sounding PBT keycaps in some awesome color scheme, but the font will be the same lame FONT you would see on a stock Dell membrane keyboard... When are the manufacturers of aftermarket Keycaps going to get a clue. The only aftermarket keycaps I've found that have FONT even close to this kind of sweet FONT seen here, is XVX. I've got a Purple and Grey set, a Blue and Grey set, and a Black and Red set that each have sweet font. There are plenty of other color combinations that I would prefer, but I refuse to purchase PBT keycaps with unexciting legends. I'll just use one of the three variations of the XVX caps on any board I buy, I keep a few sets on stand-by just so I can use them if purchase a new board. The best part about this VATA though, is the fact that I purchased the one I got for $23.75 as an open-box sale. Just because someone didn't like the switches or something like that, they sent it back, and now I got to buy it for $23.75 just because the box it came in was a little beat up.For the $23.75 I paid, would purchase this again in a heartbeat. I'll purchase one or two to keep on standby at that price!!

Exelente calidad
