The best wired computer headset, bar none
I’m very particular about what I want in a wired headset: 1) in-line volume control, 2) comfortable over-ear cups, and 3) NO MICROPHONE. If this lines up with your preferences in design, then this set is the perfect choice because of the addition of unmatched sound quality. The bass range exceeds every headset I’ve set I’ve ever used, and the sound is full and rich at all frequencies. The fact that I’ve bought three of these over the years is what I offer as my testament of how high in regard I hold these.

Love them, but mods are nessicary for longtime durability
Like others have said, these do have pros and cons, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons.I have owned four pairs of these over the last eight years or so. It is actually five, as the first set was RadioShack brand but was still Koss built. Keep in mind, I write this review as a "stationary" user of these, meaning they never leave the desktop computer and are never folded up or transported.Anyways, the cons. Like everyone else, the rotating collapsible feature is mediocre, and three of mine all broke that way. The other two failed from the other reason, broken cords at the volume adjustment. The secret to making these last is simple, this pair I have now (number five) has lasted two and a half years, longer than any other because I took a hot glue gun to these brand new outta the box, and applied heavy beads of the glue to the folding and rotating components. Granted, this prevents them from folding ever again, but if you use these like I do just at home, this will strengthen them tremendously and they won't break again. As for the volume adjuster and cord, I used a product called Shoe Goo and applied a heavy application at the strain relief on each end, about an inch away from it down the cord and this stops the looseness in the wiring. I tried this on this set and has proven to work well. I did just order two more of these units as the one I am using now (no. 5) is now broken, but they fell off the desk and got under foot, breaking the left earphone off. They still work, but are taped for temporary use. Prior to this, they were still very secure and I'm sure would have lasted a couple more years without issue. As for the sound quality, I'm not a sound engineer or anything, but I do like to hear my music very clear and loud, and these have always delivered that without any complaint. I still recommend these to anyone and I love them myself, but as before, if you plan to use them without gluing them or using as portable, don't expect them to last longer than 6-8 months, the plastic is just too brittle.

Not sure what to think just yet...
Got these today, and so far i'm not sure i like them. The sound quality is for the most part alright, but there's something a little trebley about it, but not too bad, i imagine if i play around with my EQ i can get them to sound a bit better. My main complaint about these so far is just by handling them they almost broke, the plastic piece where you adjust it turned side-ways slightly and almost looked like it was about to pop off or break, i barely even touched it lol, so if you get these, imo do yourself a favor and either return them for something a bit more sturdy/durable, or at the least adjust the headphones where you want them and then put tape tightly around the plastic adjuster (you'll thank me later). The only other issue i've noticed is that the ears don't clamp as well as i'd like, which means the sound isn't as full/deep because of sound leakage and it's not as good at blocking out external sound, the more clamp there is around the ears the more sound isolation and the fuller the sound, but i'm not sure if there's a way to rig these for tighter clampage.Overall i recommend checking out the Koss UR20's, they have been my go to headphones for the last few years, and i just left a review on a new pair of those that i got today as well so you may check out my review for that as well but i'll sum it up here, with the UR20's, the sound quality is way better imo, but you do need to carefully bend the headband wires a certain way as to give the ear cups more clampage, and at least on my computer i need to adjust my EQ to get the best sound, and just as a precaution, it's also advised to tape the plastic adjuster piece as well as to avoid them breaking, although they seem sturdier than these UR29's. But if it came down between the UR29's and the UR20's, definitely go for the UR20's, imo, they seem to last so long as you take care of them, but these UR29's, like i said, they seem rather fragile and cheap, i haven't yet decided if i'm going to return the UR29's yet or not, i may give it a week or two just to form a better opinion and will update my review here should my opinion on anything change, but if i end up keeping the UR29's i will definitely have to tape up that plastic part because i can already see it easily breaking/coming apart just from slightly handling it like putting it on my head, idk if anyone else has noticed that but my advice, tape the plastic, otherwise might want to return them because i don't think they'll last long.

Good Headphones With A Great Price
I have a 9-year old pair of these UR 29 headphones. They still sound fine to me even though the foam over the speakers has mostly worn away while the imitation leather on the ear pads flaked off like black snow years ago. I use them now listening to music or watching a DVD while I ride my bike on rollers in the basement. I bought this new set for listening to my old Philips HI-FI in the living room. Comparing the sound of these to the old set, I could tell no significant difference. Comparing these to the Over Ear Head phones I bought recently, both are good, but I like the sound of this Koss UR 29 model a bit more; the Over Ear phones seem to emphasis the base more than I usually prefer, thus, adjustment is required at the HI-FI unit. Finally, these are comfortable to use and it's good to have the volume control right at your finger-tips.Addendum: the headphone chord has the consistency of a long, soft spaghetti noodle and doesn't wind-up easily or neatly when not in use. A minor con, perhaps, but annoying.

These headphones are so awesome!! They work incredibly. They can be folded well and made music pretty fun to listen to. Definitely buy these if you want some good headphones for reasonable price.

Koss sounds better
