Skip Hop Hug-and-Hide Tummytime Playmat, Owl

This is super cute, and the quality is good - it's very helpful that the weave of the cotton makes it easy to wipe up spit-up off the mat and extend it between washings. It's nice that it's a little bit thick and quilted, because it makes it difficult for little hands to grab it and bunch it up off the floor. The toys are sturdy and well-made. The curved pillow is the perfect size and shape for helping with tummy time. We've washed this mat a bunch of times and it still looks like new. And the fabric is breathable and safe. We don't have a dryer, so we line dry everything, and even on rainy days when we have to dry things indoors, this dries fast. For all that, it gets five stars from me.But my only criticism is that it's quite small. Once your baby gets at all mobile, they will roll right off of it with a single roll. To get the most out of this, it would be best to start using it with a newborn. By 5-6 months it will be outgrown for tummy time, though it comes in handy for sitting up practice, and the inevitable spit-up fountain that your baby becomes. Put this on top of a blanket on the floor and it works well to help keep spit-up off of the blanket (this is easier to wash and dry than the blanket is). Even though this is cotton, as I mentioned above, it's quite easy to wipe up and just let it air dry for the next play session.I also hope that when my kid gets older it will come in useful for some imaginative play - we'll see!

I love skip hop products so much! I have a tons of stuff (literally spent thousands) and now that my baby is a "tummer" I needed a mat not too big so I can take it every where. I love the design and the colors, plus it comes with toys and a pillow.The only thing I didn't like is that mini pillow that comes with it, it was dirty when I open the envelope...like if someone steped on it with a super dirty shoe.It was a surprise for me because I'm a loyal and frequent costumer for this brand and I always felt pleased with my purchase due to the quality of the items.I was about to returned it but then I knew that I would have to wait a long time to get a new back. So I decided to keep it and washed the pillow several time. It took me at least 2 washes to get rid of the "shoe sole" mark.I'm going to keep buying stuff from Skip Hop but I would suggest to check and recheck your items before packing. Finding out that my brand (and not so cheap) baby item, was all with black stains and dirt was a super unpleasent surprise.Despite that, I really love your products

OK, I'm giving this 4 stars just because it honestly is really thin, but that's it... Maybe it's just my son, but he LOVES Skip Hop owl products.... He was 3 months when I got this tummy time mat, and I did really love the pillow provided to help him push up on his arms... There are also places to hook toys up to both the tummy pillow and the mat itself. My son loved to look into the big owl eyes... Now he is 5 1/2 months, and we don't use the pillow anymore, but he still loves to check out his owl friend...I recommend this mat to any Mom that is having a hard time getting their baby to play on their tummy

For a basic tummy time pad for a newborn it will do the job. I bought this because I have hard wood floors. it was not as thick or big as I hoped it would be. It has toys and a pillow attached which is a good add. If I put a blanket under it, to make it thicker it's not bad. It's a cute buy but if you're looking for something big or something to last as they grow, I'd keep looking

The mat is a bit thin as mentioned in other reviews, but easy enough to place a blanket underneath. My daughter loves the mat - the eyes specifically. I love that the toys can be interchanged with other skip hop toys with a similar hook device. She's only nine weeks now but is up to 23 inches long so I'm not sure how much longer she will actually fit on the mat. All in all, great purchase for the price.

If your looking for a basic tummy time may this is it. It does have some of the features of a larger matt but much more smaller which is great for saving space. The owl is adorable and it can easily be folded to go back in its original packaging for storage. The thing I didn't like about this matt was the padding. It is very thin. I thought considering this is suppose to lay on the floor, I wouldn't have to add any additional padding for comfort, I was wrong. Also, the fabric feels very cheap and rough. I really wish it was softer, more like a blanket. In my opinion, even though I love skip hop brand, if you have the extra funds purchase something a little more nicer.

The tiny pillow it comes with is AMAZING my son loves that thing for tummy time and the pillow is not attached and is small enough to go anywhere with him in his bag. The product overall is well made . My son didn't really like the mat because its not soft or fluffy like his blankets and he is really too small for playing with the toys yet so those parts got put away and I don't use them. The pillow is 100% worth it to me tho.

Super cute!!! It matches the crib bedding we bought and the activity gym we registered for, but we bought this mini version of an activity gym to keep at my sister's house. I think it will keep baby entertained while we're visiting but not take up a lot of space. I appreciated the follow up emails from the seller making sure I was happy with the purchase.

Returning item as material is rough and pillow slid everywhere when he was on the mat. They should have it attached someway to be more stable and my son was not very fond of the toys attached either.

Purchased this for our little girl. Was looking to buy enough to get free shipping. I'm glad I chose this. The pillow it perfect size and position to keep her chin up. It's been helping a lot.

Color fades drastically when washes.

Nice Mat. Wish there were other accessories and that the support would be attached and could be removed for better support.

Was really dissappointed in this product. The fabric is really rough and tears easily. Baby did not enjoy being on it due to the roughness.
