Q: How long is the cable sling that goes around the tree?

The sling end is about 4 feet long, the other end is adjustable.

Q: The cable sling is not long enough to reach around the tree.. any suggestions?

You can add an additional line to it, but it creates a weakness in the link. The risk of it breaking off is not worth someone getting injured. Best to take the loss and buy the right length.

Q: Can you adjust where the stop begins? I will have to attach it to a tree in a unmaintained area so i would want it ti stop before the kids enter that.

You will have to get a longer stop spring

Q: What is max weight for the steel? is it ok for adult?

The max weight for safety was 250lb but that can change over time and weathering of the cable so it is always good to inspect the cable prior to use. I as an adult have use it without issue.
