The Handbook of Biblical Numismatics: 45th Anniversary Edition

I picked up Mel's book about a year ago and I must say it's my favorite book on the coins of the Bible.The images are clear, excellent, inspiring. It is succinct yet thorough and covers a lot of ground.I can't think of a more profound adventure then gaining an understanding of scripture and this book will expose you to what is known in ancient coins.I would highly suggest buying this before purchasing or during your purchase of coins.Worth its weight in gold!

This book is so enjoyable that I keep going back to it to read and look at the coins! A great resource book. I plan to give two of the books I got as gifts! It is a great read and author has a wonderful voice. Enjoy!

A general work with a very general information

Very fast shipping, - well organized and easy to read with clear pictures.

This book provides a good introduction to the coinage of 'Judah' from about the time of Ezra to after 100AD. I found it readable, although I tend to find most books readable, so it is not always a statement that other would agree with! If you want to gain a bit more understanding of the back ground to scripture, then this is a good way to start.
