We bought this printer for our DoorDash orders. Setup through the app was very simple, and it paired with the tablet immediately. It’s very easy to use, and after setting it up, we’ve been using it for 8 months without needing any additional maintenance or adjustments

This represents the worst printer product currently available on the market. I strongly advise against purchasing any Star Micronics product, particularly those sold or promoted through Amazon. Neither company has responded to warranty claims, and when responses are provided, both entities consistently deflect accountability. Regarding product returns, both companies enforce restrictive return policies, imposing restocking fees up to 50% in addition to shipping costs.Amazon consistently prioritizes supplier interests over customer satisfaction and protection. I cannot recommend purchasing from Star Micronics under any circumstances.Amazon systematically avoids responsibility and disregards customer concerns. Throughout the return process, I consulted with four separate customer service representatives, each providing conflicting information regarding return procedures.The resolution consisted of a single email from the company's clarification department stating: "We apologize; however, we have reviewed your account and noted multiple returns. Therefore, you are no longer eligible to process additional returns."No representative provided assistance. No explanation was offered. Is this coincidental?Star Micronics demonstrated equally discourteous and evasive behavior regarding the return process, mirroring Amazon's approach. Coincidental?Upon inquiring with Epson Printers regarding this device, they confirmed that this is an outdated model exceeding eight years in age. It is incompatible with Android or iOS systems as advertised and does not support Bluetooth connectivity unless equipped with a specialized driver that is not commercially available.I was forced to develop a driver from scratch utilizing PHP, Java, and JSON programming because neither company provided technical support or viable solutions—only demands for payment.

Perfect for our orders
We got this exclusively for our DoorDash orders, only to find out it isn’t one of DoorDash’s “recommended” machines. But we were able to connect it (in the DoorDash merchant portal not in settings) and it works great! Super easy set up, literally came ready to go. No need to even put it in Bluetooth mode, it’s always ready to connect. Prints quickly and clearly. And it’s super heavy duty. Totally worth the price so far.
